Chapter 17: Welcome to our Xcution 2

Y/N was listening Professor Port lecture, for once, but his mind wasn't exactly focus on it either. He was still thinking back to the conversation he just had the day before with Ginjo.

Port: Today we will talk about an evolved species of Grimm ! We call them Hollows ! Hollows are Grimms who manage to gain a soul by eating a huge amount of Humans, they are easily recognisable by theirs white mask and a gaping hole in theirs bodies. However they are also more powerfull than your average Grimms, can have a unique power and the most dangerous, they are intelligent creature, some reports even had some hollows developped the ability to talk.

Meanwhile Weiss was taking notes and ignore Jaune talking to her, Ruby was taking some notes, Yang was sleeping, Blake wasn't really paying attention, Ren was forcing Nora to stay awake, Y/N was not focus too and Chad had a sudden realisation. He lift his hand to ask a question.

Port: Yes, what is your question ?

Chad: Can Hollows be in group ?

Port: Yes, they can. Mainly the weaker ones.

Chad lower his arm slowly as his mind raced, before he was attacked by Kenpachi hollows attacked him. He clench his fist.

Port: While the weaker hollows can still be taken care of by most of pro-hunters, hollows can still evolved and turn into something even greater, in that case you need to retreat immediately, even if you are a team of pro-hunters, if you have time that is.

Weiss: How do we recognise them ?

Port: Simple ! They are humanoid.

Class: WHAT ?!

Port: You heard me. They gained a humanoid form, however they still have a part of theirs mask on theirs faces and they also keep the hole in theirs bodies. Unfortunately all of them are incredibely powerful.

Yang: How powerful ?!

Port: Well, young lady, one is powerful enough to obliterate half of a Kingdom.

A silence fall on the whole class. Something can really be this powerful ? A cold chill run down theirs spins as they prayed that they will never encounter such monstrosity. (Lol)

Port continued his lesson.

Ruby was fixing the strip of her red shoes while Weiss put Myrtenaster on her side, Yang had Ember Celica on her left forearm as she slide the chamber on it, lastly Blake tighten her ribbons around her arms.

Blake: I thought that class would never end.

Ruby: Alright guys, today's the day ! The investigation begins !

Ruby jump out of her bed, onto the floor almost landing on Weiss who was on the bottom bunk bed.

Weiss: I'm glad to see we're taking this so seriously.

Every word were dripping sarcasm.

Yang: Hey ! We've got a plan. That's... moderately serious.

Ruby: Right ! Everyone remember theirs roles ?

Weiss: You and I will head yo the CCT and check the Schnee records for any dust robberies or inconsistencies. Seeing as I'm in the family, it should be a problem.

Blake: The White Fang has regular faction meetings to hand out orders and recruit new members. If I can get in, I can hopefully find out what they're planning.

Yang: I have an old friend on the shady part of the town that typically knows everything going on in Vale. Getting information out of him shouldn't be too hard...
