Chapter 23: Black Veil

Ironwood was pacing around in Ozpin office, while Ozpin and Glynda look at him.

Ironwood: They were here... Ozpin, they were here !

He slam his fist on Opzin's desk.

Glynda: We're very much aware of that ! Thank you, James.

Ironwood: Fantastic ! You're aware ! Now are we going to do something about it or should we just stay the course and continue to ignore what's right in fornt of us ?!

An alert sound play, indicating that someone arrived.

Ozpin: Come in.

Ruby and an annoyed Y/N come out of the elevator and step in the office.

Ruby: Sorry it took so long. Someone accidentally hit all the buttons on the elevator on the way up here.

Ruby: It wasn't me.

Y/N: It was 100% Ruby

Ruby look at Y/N with a look of betrayal.

Ozpin: Thank you for coming. Ruby and Y/N, how are you feeling ?

Y/N: Normal.

Ruby: Okay, I guess. I'd feel better If my bad-guy-catching record wasn't 0 to 3.

Y/N: You get them next time, rubes.

Everyone watch them silently.

Ruby: Okay, so that's the tone we're going for, got it.

Y/N roll his eyes as he really didn't wanted to be here.

Ironwood: Ruby, I feel it's appropriate to let you know that I think what you did last night is exactly what being a Huntress is all about. You recognised the threat. You took action. And you did the best very best you could. Y/N, you also did the best you could by recognised the threat  and defend your partner.

Ruby: Thank you, sir.

Y/N: Yeah, Thanks.

Y/N didn't say anything but he noticed the dirty look Ironwood gave him. He didn't even know why, but apparently the soldier wasn't fond of Y/N, he is debating if he should confront him or not.

Ozpin: Now, the general here has already informed us of the events that... Transpired last night, but now that you've rested, we were wondering if you had anything to add.

Glynda: Was anything else with her ? Did she looks familiar to you at all ?

Both start thinking but Ruby was the first to talk.

Ruby: I.. I don't know. She was wearing a mask, she never said anything to me. But I know she fought with glass. I don't think it was her Semblance, though. Her clothing lit up whenever she attacked.

Y/N: I remember that she has black hair and her eyes has an amber color. Oh and when we found her she was getting up from the computers. I think she did something to one of them.

Glynda: Save for the glass, that sounds like the woman I fought the night I met Ruby.

Ironwood: Embedding Dust into clothingis an age-old technique. It could have been anyone. And the computers ? I will get someone to check them.

Ruby: Wait. You think this girl is connected to to Torchwick and the White Fang ?

Ozpin: It's possible. But we still lack the required evidence to link the two together.

Ruby: Actually, I... I think I remember her saying something about a hideout, or something, in the southeast. Just outside the Kingdom.

Ozpin: Interesting.
