That evening, Jimin invited Y/N over for dinner at their apartment. Junwoo was excited, helping his dad set the table and even choosing the menu. It was the first time Jimin had seen his son so enthusiastic about something in a long time.

"Do you think she'll like spaghetti?" Junwoo asked, his eyes wide with anticipation.

Jimin smiled, ruffling his son's hair. "I'm sure she'll love it. Especially with you helping me cook."

Y/N arrived right on time, bringing a homemade apple pie. "I thought I'd bring dessert," she said with a smile.

Junwoo's eyes lit up. "I love apple pie!"

As they sat down to eat, the atmosphere was warm and relaxed. Junwoo chatted happily about his day at school, his initial shyness fading away. Jimin watched with a heart full of gratitude, seeing his son so animated.

After dinner, they moved to the living room, where Junwoo showed Y/N his favorite board game. "Can we play this one?" he asked eagerly.

"Of course," Y/N replied, sitting on the floor with him. "You can teach me the rules."

Jimin watched them play, feeling a sense of peace he hadn't felt in years. Y/N's genuine interest in Junwoo was heartwarming, and her patience and kindness were slowly bringing his son out of his shell.

"She's really good with him," Jimin's mother, Mrs. Park, commented softly, sitting beside her son. "It's been a long time since I've seen Junwoo so happy."

"She's amazing," Jimin agreed, his eyes never leaving Y/N and Junwoo. "I don't know how we got so lucky."

Mrs. Park nodded, placing a hand on his shoulder. "You've been carrying a heavy burden, Jimin. It's okay to let someone else in, to let someone else help."

Mrs. Park smiled knowingly. "Sometimes, people come into our lives when we need them the most."

Days turned into weeks, and Y/N became a fixture in their lives. She and Junwoo spent a lot of time together, playing games, reading books, and even cooking. Jimin often joined them, feeling more like a family with each passing day.

One Saturday morning, Y/N suggested a trip to the local zoo. Junwoo was thrilled, and Jimin agreed, glad to spend a day away from the office.

The zoo was bustling with families, and children running around excitedly. Junwoo held Y/N's hand as they explored, pointing out his favorite animals.

"Look, Y/N! The lions!" Junwoo exclaimed, his face glowing with excitement.

"They're magnificent," Y/N said, crouching down to Junwoo's level. "Do you know that a lion's roar can be heard up to five miles away?"

"Wow! That's so cool!" Junwoo replied, eyes wide with wonder.

Jimin watched them with a smile, snapping pictures of the moment. Seeing Junwoo so happy and animated filled his heart with joy. He walked over and put an arm around Y/N, feeling a wave of gratitude.

"Thank you for today," he said softly. "This means so much to us."

Y/N looked up at him, her eyes warm. "I'm glad to be here, Jimin. You and Junwoo mean a lot to me."

One evening, as Jimin sat in his office at home, he overheard a conversation between Y/N and Junwoo that made his heart swell with emotion.

"Y/N, why do you spend so much time with us?" Junwoo asked, his voice small.

Y/N smiled gently. "Because I care about you and your dad. Spending time with you makes me happy."

"But... my mom left. What if you leave too?" Junwoo's voice wavered with vulnerability.

Y/N reached out, holding Junwoo's hand. "I'm not going anywhere, Junwoo. I promise. I'll always be here for you."

Jimin felt a lump in his throat. He walked over, kneeling beside his son and Y/N. "She's right, Junwoo. Y/N is here to stay."

Junwoo looked at them both, his eyes shining with a mixture of hope and uncertainty. "Really?"

"Really," Jimin and Y/N said in unison, sharing a reassuring smile.

Junwoo hugged them both tightly, his small arms wrapped around their necks. At that moment, Jimin knew that they were not just a family in the making-they were a family.
