As the honeymoon phase of Jimin and Y/N's marriage continued, their lives settled into a blissful routine filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments. They spent weekends exploring new places, enjoying family dinners, and creating cherished memories together.
One sunny afternoon, as they strolled through a bustling market, Jimin noticed a group of men watching them intently. His instincts went on high alert, but he brushed it off, attributing it to paranoia. Little did he know, these men had ties to his past, and their presence signaled trouble on the horizon.
As they continued their walk, Y/N spotted a quaint café and suggested they stop for a coffee break. Jimin agreed, eager for a moment of respite from the world outside.
Inside the café, they settled into a cozy corner booth, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee enveloping them. Junwoo chattered excitedly about his day at school, his enthusiasm contagious. Jimin couldn't help but smile at his son's exuberance.
Y/N laughed at one of Junwoo's jokes, her eyes sparkling with affection. "You're quite the comedian, Junwoo."
Junwoo beamed at the praise, taking a sip of his hot chocolate. "Thanks, mom! I've been practicing."
Jimin leaned back in his seat, savoring the moment of tranquility.
However, amidst the laughter and joy, shadows lurked, waiting to disrupt their newfound happiness. Lyla had not vanished from their lives completely. Fueled by resentment and a twisted sense of entitlement, she had been plotting in the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. She saw Jimin's happiness as an affront, a reminder of the life she had forsaken, and she was determined to reclaim what she believed was rightfully hers.
One fateful evening, Jimin returned home from work, his mind preoccupied with thoughts of a surprise date he had planned for Y/N. He entered the house, expecting to be greeted by the warm smiles of his wife and son, but was instead met with an eerie silence.
"Y/N? Junwoo?" Jimin called out, his voice echoing through the empty hallways.
Panic gripped his heart as he searched the house, finding no sign of them. His phone buzzed, and he answered it with trembling hands.
"Hello?" he answered, his voice taut with anxiety.
"Jimin," a chillingly familiar voice purred on the other end. "I have your wife and son."
Lyla. His blood ran cold.
"Lyla, what have you done?" Jimin demanded his voice a mixture of anger and fear.
"Relax, Jimin," Lyla replied, her tone dripping with malice. "They're safe... for now. But if you want them to stay that way, you'll do exactly as I say."
Jimin's heart pounded in his chest. "What do you want, Lyla?"
"Money, Jimin. And a contract. You know the one," she said, her voice deadly serious.
"I'll give you whatever you want," Jimin replied desperately. "Just don't hurt my wife and my son."
"Good," Lyla said with satisfaction. "I'll be in touch with the details."
The line went dead, and Jimin stood there, his mind racing. He knew he couldn't handle this alone. He needed help – and fast.
He quickly dialed Jungkook's number, his voice urgent. "Jungkook, it's Jimin. Lyla has kidnapped Y/N and Junwoo. I need your help."
"I'm on my way," Jungkook replied without hesitation. "Stay strong, Jimin. We'll get them back."
Jimin then called Suga, explaining the situation. Suga's response was immediate and unwavering. "I'll gather our resources and contacts. Hang in there, Jimin."
As they waited for Jungkook and Suga to arrive, Jimin went to his safe, hidden securely in his office. He opened it and retrieved his licensed gun, the weight of it both comforting and terrifying. He would do whatever it took to protect his family.
