Two days later.
Hope Higher Secondary School, City D.
The parking of school was occupied with private vehicles, even though it was a holiday.
At the entrance there was a banner welcoming the former students for their reunion after ten plus years. One after another, those who left this school a decade ago, again reunited in the school auditorium. The stage and gallery where once marked all the arts and funs of these grown up individuals, again witnessed a beautiful scenario.
The auditorium was already decorated and was well prepared by Amar Rahman and others for today's meeting. They are the sole reason behind the event today. From finding all the former classmates who are now in different places and arranging them all to be here now, all was the result of their work.
"Oh my! You are Swati, right? You haven't changed at all!!"
"Freddy, you became an architect? Didn't you say you wanna be pilot?"
"What about you? You said you are the future football player but ended up joining the army!"
"Hahaha!!! It happened beyond expectations!!!"
"Oh! Isn't that Jasmine? I heard she is married to a businessman and quitted her job at the law firm."
"You weren't here so you don't knew. She is a mother of two now. Her husband is busy and in-laws are in foreign trips all year around. So, she had to quit working to take care of kids. But so what? Her husband is earning more than they need!!"
"Hey, have you seen Keerthi?"
"What about Abhishek? Is he here?"
"¢¢π÷€×"
"°ππ~÷§~§∆=✓"
"---------"
Sounds of excitement and enthusiasm filled there, along with gossips and sour words of people who were crooked in mind.
A decade has changed people greatly. They are not longer the willful teenagers, but men and women who shoulder responsibilities of parents, citizen and workers. They learnt life.
Life wasn't the fairytale they imagined, but tough and hard battlefield where only those who are hardworking, persisting and strong willed can succeed.
Some of them are in the peek of their career. Others are either working at companies or those who choose family over job. A large portion of these people are the ones who gave up before even they started or those who are contented with the little rewards.
Along with lifestyle, people's mind has changed drastically too. But they also learnt to hid them inside very well.
Around a round table in the corner, Jasmine and a group of friends, who were her besties in past, sat together and was sharing their life with eachother.
"We all changed so much..." Jasmine said as a glimpse of teenage years flashed in her mind.
"Yeah, we did... We gained weight and lost our figure ಥ‿ಥ" Harsha said while sighing dramatically, followed by others heartily laughter.
"Married and had kids. Working out and again in home. It will be a wonder, if we hadn't lost our charm in past..." Divya said while looking at her one year old boy who was sleeping in her arms.
Harsha lovingly gazed at the sleeping cutie on Divya's lap and said, "Will my child be as cute as yours when he is born?" She patted her bulging belly and smiled.
"Definitely. Your child won't miss the amazing genes of you and Amar." Jasmine and others said while laughing.
"We thought you both will break up after school. But, your marriage indeed surprised us, Harsha. Congrats on both success in love and the baby!" Yamuna said while sincerely well wishing her.
Harsha is Amar Rahman's wife. They both were love birds from school time and finally married an year ago. Their religion were different and both parents were against it. But, the hardships never break them apart and in the end Lord gifted them the life they have now. Parents compromised and accepted their love and they married with blessings of both family.
"Thank you guys..." Harsha smiled back at them.
"Oh... I just remembered. Where is Lekha? Why isn't she here yet?" Yamuna asked while looking around. Trying to trace the familiar figure there.
