".....What was I even expecting...?"

The corner of her lips made a slight arc, but it didn't reach her eyes. The crimson sunshine peaked through the window and kissed the kip of her nose, but it didn't melted the chill in her heart.

Deepa sighed heavily. A cool Breeze carried a light mint fragrance from somewhere and surrounded her. Suddenly her heart was so longer painful.

She packed her bag and turned around to leave. If was only then she realised that...

"Door is locked!?" Deepa approached the door hurriedly and tried to unlock it, but it was useless.

**Dong...Dong**

"Hello!!! Is anybody there!! I am locked inside!!" Deepa knocked heavily on the metal door and shouted for help.

But, in the end, only her voice remained, and everything else was in complete silence.

**Rumbles!!!!**

Suddenly, the rumbling of thunder like a beast's roar crashed heavily.

"AHH!!!!!!"

Deepa felt as her legs are going weak, and the rumbling was enough to shatter her already trembling heart. As a person with anxiety, her heart is now beating abnormally. It was like a drum in the beginning, and then it's speed was getting slower and slower.

The entire classroom was getting welled into the darkness, only Deepa's heavy breathing was left.

'No!No!!! Deepa, don't panic!

You are fine! Take a deep breath... Slowly...

It's over... It's just thunder!

Come to your senses!

Hold yourself up! Come on! Breath! '

Deepa kept reminding herself in mind, and after unknown amount of time, she finally calmed down.

'That's it....'

Deepa wiped off the psychological tears and cold sweat with her kerchief. Panic attacks are scary... Expecially when Acha is not with her. No one knows how terrifying that could be except dad. Not even Amma...

Deepa stood up and took a deep breath with her eyes closed. Her body is still trembling and she has to go out as soon as possible. She looked outside and her heart sank when the rain pattered heavily and the entire place was deafening with the sound of rain.

"My phone....!"

Deepa suddenly remembered she had her phone in bag, and immediately took it out. She turned on the phone and her happy eyes froze when she looked at the upper corner of the screen.

"5%.... Seriously.?!!" Deepa was speechless. It's always like this! Everytime she need this stupid machine, it is always like this!! Pouring cold water on her!!

Putting aside those thoughts away, she immediately unlocked the phone and opened her contacts.

"Who should I call now?"

Amma is out of list. If she knew that she is alone here at this time, in the middle of this weather, Amma will probably collapse in worry.

She don't know why. Amma is always a strong woman, mentally and emotionally. But, when it came to her kids, she will be weak... Too weak that she will lose her mind sometimes. But, the more strange thing is, Amma is too sensitive about her.

She won't stop worry even if she have a scratch or bruise. She isn't that much sensitive to Diya and Daisy. Even more strange is that, after everything is normal, Amma can't remember why she over-reacted too much.

'Forget it...'

Deepa quickly dialed her dad and prayed in her heart that he would answer it soon...

*Beep...beep...*

The beep was lagging and Deepa finally realised another problem.

No signal!? Call isn't connecting at all!!!

She tried again and again and it was in vein...

She only stopped when her gaze stuck on the battery percentage.

"2%??????????????"

"Ente Goddieee!!!!!!" ( My gosh!!!!!!)

She turned off the screen and was in despair, she can only use the remaining charge cautiously. If that's gone too, she can be reported as missing tomorrow.

"What should do now?..." Deepa supported herself by the desk and her eyes were too heavy. She is very hungry and excited mental state is making her exhausted. Her whole body is trembling.

The entire room is getting scary. The wind is howling, and leaves are rustling, mixed with the patter of rain, the combination was super exciting.

Deepa fell on her knees on the ground and the palm of her hand rubbed on the ground which was covered in sand grains.

The floor isn't tiled and the friction left a scratch on her palm. Deepa flinched in the sudden sensation, and her dazing consciousness became a little clear.

**Honk....**

Suddenly, there was a honk penetrating through the heavy rain.

'Is someone coming here...' Deepa thought weakly. She stood up with shaky legs and approached the windows to look at the entrance of school.

Sure enough she saw a black SUV entering the campus compound. She had a vague familiarity with that SUV.

Suddenly remembering the owner of the vehicle, her pale lips moved and eyes had a glimpse of hope...

"Anil sir..."
