Synopsis-

When the message of death comes upon the family, the broken yet intact family realised they had failed to protect their loved ones.

Tommy looked down upon himself. He made sure that he was high enough to not survive. Yes, he made a tower once again but this time, Tommy ensured that there was no water beneath him.

Tommy sighed as clouds went right through him and the air was cleaner and pure. He sat down, looking at the things he owned right now.

Tubbo's compass, 12 dirt and mud blocks, the gold chain that Phil gave him and the axe of peace that Techno given.

And the disc, cat.

All his priced and dear possessions that were going to be useless now.

"Phil I don't wanna jump! What if I fell and died?"

"Don't worry tommy, until I'm alive, I will make sure you don't die" lies.

"Promise me you'll catch me if I fall?"

"I promise"

Young tommy jumped down the cliff and soon he was flying up high, just like his father.

As Tommy was flying for the first time, he didn't knew how they worked and instead of slowing down, Tommy's wings stopped working.

"DAD!!" Tommy screamed as Phil's proud and happy expression turned into a alarmed one.

Tommy was so sure he was gonna die, he closed his eyes, preparing for his death but he heard the huge flapping of wings as a pair of arms caught him just in time.

"Tommy? You can open your eyes now. You're safe" Phil said, as Tommy opened one of his eyes, just to make sure he was really safe.

"YAYY DADZA YOU'RE THE BEST!" tommy screamed happily, clutching Phil tighter as the older avian laughed.

"Will you still save me if fall and die father?" Tommy smiled. He looked at the axe of peace, gripping it harder.

"Techie, do you ever feel like you're useless?"

This statement coming out of Tommy's mouth surprised techno.

"What happened Theseus? Did someone say anything to you? Did something happen back in school?" techno questioned, putting his mythology book down turning all his attention to his younger brother.

"I just feel like I'm useless. All I do is try my best, and no-one cares for any achievements I get.... I can't sing, I can't dance, I can't even do what average people are good at. I feel like noone would care if I die..."

Techno was shocked to hear what tommy thought of himself. For such a young age, this was definitely not what a kid should think of.

"Hey you look at me Theseus. Everyone are built different. Not everyone can sword fight, or dance as good as some people. You will soon find out what you're good at, and trust me. No-one will seem to catch you in things that you do that you like. You're special in your own way tommy."

Techno said as Tommy's glossy eyes continued to look at him.

"Really?"

"Yeah... And the thing you said about dying, everyone you know will care the most. I will care the most. I don't think I'll ever be able to forgive myself if you died before me... But, I'll remember you forever"

"really?"

"Yeah but I won't let you die Theseus. Not on my watch. I'll protect you forever"

"I love you Techie"

"I love you too Theseus"

"Will you remember me now though? Will you forgive yourself if I die right now?"

And with that Tommy jumped.

A pain filled scream could be heard from a father's house. Phil kept re-reading the message, over and over again.

No way his youngest son was gone forever. He promised Phil. He promised that he won't commit anytime soon. Why now?

He let his youngest son go to wars, fight in such a young age, build up trauma and die so many times.

Phil's such a bad father. He doesn't deserve to be called Tommy's "DADZA" anymore. He doesn't deserve the title of that.

"Promise me you'll catch me if I fall?"

"I promise"

Phil broke that promise. Phil failed to protect his son.

Technoblade, the cold warrior who made others plead and cry, was now himself vulnerable and crying.

Crying, no-one had seen him do that. Except for when Phil saw him cry when he was younger, but that's a different thing.

Tommy had never seen him cry. He was tough and strong and hence, Tommy always wanted to be like techno when he grew up.

Techno fell on his knees, realising the fact that he lost Tommy.

He lost his only brother, Tommy.

"yeah but I'll not let you die Theseus. Not on my watch. I'll protect you forever"

"I love you Techie"

He failed. He failed to protect his brother. He failed to fulfil his promise. He failed Tommy.

Hopefully y'all enjoyed this short one lol. I have many drafts but I've not yet completed coz of exams...

But Monday is my last paper so here I have an update plus I'll update tomorrow too!
