SONG: EMAILS I CAN'T SEND; SABRINA CARPENTER

Bethany has been working for the 49ers for about two weeks now and she couldn't be happier. As the off season is coming to an end and the start of the season is approaching Bethany has actually started on some projects.

The players on the team have a media day where the photographers and videographers take photos and videos of the players and then send that footage over to Video Operations. With Bethany being the head video editor she edits all of the footage and the other people in video operations just go over the final touches that are necessary.

Bethany had been editing all day and had one player's footage left to edit but before she could open the files there's a knock on her office door. Bethany gets up from her comfy spinning chair and opens her door to see Adriana.

"Hey girl hey!" Adriana says cheerfully.

"Heyyy, what's up?" Bethany responds.

"What time do you get off tonight?"

"Ummm, in ten minutes. Why?"

"Well, here at Levi's Stadium we like to do this thing."

"What thing?" Bethany asks suspiciously.

"Well, every year when the off season is coming to a close all of the players and basically everyone associated with the Niners go to this really fun club in the heart of San Francisco, the Grand, have you heard of it?"

"Yea, I've actually gone with a friend a couple years ago."

"Perfect! So, I'll pick you up from your place in an hour and a half?"

"Oh, I don't know, I'm almost done editing all of the media day footage and I was actually planning on staying late to finish it all."
Adriana just stares at Bethany blankley. Bethany knows she isn't going to win this.

"Ok fine. I'll see you in an hour and a half."

Adriana squeals with excitement; like a little kid getting surprised with an adorable puppy.

TIME SKIP >>>

Bethany had gotten home about an hour ago but ended up going on her phone and being lazy instead of doing anything even remotely productive. While Bethany was scrolling on Instagram she checked the time on her phone.

"Oh shit."

Adriana was going to be at Bethany's house in half an hour.

Bethany leaps off of her criminally comfortable couch and bolts to her bedroom. She opens her closet and starts looking through her dresses. Bethany settles on a simple black dress that goes to the middle of her thighs. She pairs her dress with some nice black heels. Luckily, Bethany had had her hair in a braid all day so her hair was really showing its natural wave. She sprayed a little bit of hairspray on it to help minimize the frizz. She does some simple but noticeable makeup, puts on some of her favorite jewelry, and as if on cue there is a knock on her door. Bethany answers the door to see Adriana looking all dolled up and honestly this girl looked drop dead gorgeous.

"Oh my God. Bethany. You look fucking hot babe."

Bethany chuckles, "Thank you, Adriana. Look at you though girl. You look like you belong at Fashion Week."

"You are my literal hype woman."

Adriana holds out her arm for Bethany to take, "Shall we?"

"We shall."

And with that the two walked to Adriana's car ready to get their party on.

TIME SKIP >>>

As the duo walked into the club Bethany was immediately welcomed with the stench of alcohol and sweat.

Lovely, Bethany thought.

Adriana guides Bethany over to the bar and orders herself a drink.

"Shit! I drove us here, I can't drink." Adriana says with disappointment lacing her tone.

"Don't worry about it babe. I won't drink. I'll drive you to my place and you can spend the night."

"You would do that for me?"

"Yes, of course! Now drink your drink before I'm tempted to."

Adriana starts to sip her drink before downing it and then ordering another one. Bethany decided to order herself a water. She pays for her water and then scrolls on her phone while taking sips of it. While mindlessly scrolling Bethany feels a tap on her shoulder. She looks to her right only to see one of the best defensive ends, Nick Bosa.

"What's a pretty girl like you doing all alone?"

"Oh, I'm here with my friend but I'm the DD."

"I see. So, you're the responsible friend?"

"I guess you could say that."

Even though they had only been talking for 30 seconds Bethany got a weird feeling in her gut. Nick takes a seat on the bar stool next to Bethany.

"So, do you work here in the city?", Nick asks.

"I actually work for the 49ers."

Play dumb Bethany. Pretend you don't know who he is, Bethany thought to herself.

"Really? How long? I don't think I've seen you around the stadium. I would've remembered such a pretty face and body."

Bethany mentally rolls her eyes in disgust.
"I've only been working for the Niners for about two weeks now."

"What department are you in?"

"Video operations."

Nick's face went blank.

"Oh- um. So you work with Adriana?"

"Um, yea I do."

"See, I wouldn't get too close to her. A couple years ago when the crew came down here I tried to hit it but she wasn't having it. She kind of gives off a bitchy vibe aye?"

It is going to take everything in me to not make him look God awful my edits of him.

"Adriana is a literal angel, are you sure you weren't the one being bitchy?"

Nick scoffs.

"You're the snappy type. I like it. You know you and I should go ou- wait a second you have an eyelash."

Nick leans really close to your face to try and get the eyelash off.

"It's fine… I can get it."

"No, it's like about to go in your eye let me get it."

Bethany annoyingly gives in and lets Nick get the eye lash. While he was poking around Bethany's face she noticed him pulling something out of his pocket and putting his arm on the bar fairly close to her cup. Bethany thought it was weird but didn't think anything of it.

"Got it."

"Thanks."

"Hey, you look kind of pale… maybe try drinking some of your water."

"I'm fine"

"Just drink the damn water."

Uncomfortable and nervous with the situation Bethany downs the rest of her water. She hates to say it but it was refreshing. Nick and Bethany just sat in silence; the obnoxiously loud music blasting Bethany's ear drums. It wasn't until now that Bethany realized she had an excruciating headache. She decided to excuse herself to the bathroom to get away from the noise for a little bit but before she could get far a hand harshly grabbed her wrist.

Bosa.

For some reason when he grabbed her wrist Bethany felt defenseless. It was almost like he was made of iron and she was a feather trying to get out of his grip. The more she struggled to get out of his grip the more weak Bethany felt. She tried to scream. Her voice was gone. She couldn't speak. She could barely hear anything either. The pounding music from three minutes earlier had turned into a haze. Her vision was blurry. Her senses were gone. Bethany couldn't feel anything.

All she can remember was everything beginning to feel numb, a blackness taking over her vision and her body going completely numb.

She couldn't feel anything.
