SONG: MAIN TITLE; THE NOTEBOOK

It was officially the home stretch of the football season.

The Niners had a bye week.

Some of the guys were out partying.

Some of the wives and girlfriends were together gossiping.

Brock and Bethany were cuddled together on Brock's couch, under comfy blankets, and watching The Notebook.

Bethany had always loved this movie.

No one could ever say that Bethany wasn't a dreamer.

She was the definition of a dreamer.

That's why The Notebook was one of her favorite movies.

Bethany would always watch it when she needed comfort.

She would picture herself as Allie and how in love she was with Noah.

But everytime she watched it she didn't know who her Noah was.

So, every night after watching the movie she would dream about the type of guy her Noah would be.

What would he look like?

What color hair did he have?

Was his voice soft or deep?

What style of clothes did he wear?

Etc, etc, etc...

Bethany's answer to those questions changed every time she asked herself them.

But now she had a definite answer that wasn't going to change anytime soon.

Her Noah looks like an angel.

He has dirty brown hair that is almost brown.

He has a voice as soft as a puppy's fur.

He wore clothes that were a mix of country and city boy.

Bethany had her Noah.

Her Brock.

The part of the movie where Allie is describing the type of house she wants to Noah. As the scene ends Brock turns down the volume of the TV a little bit.

"What's your dream house Beth?"

"Well... I would definitely want it to have an ivory color to it."

"Mhm..."

"Probably two stories. A pretty modern downstairs and then whatever I want upstairs."

"What else?"

"Oh, I'm getting 100% in the pool."

Brock chuckled at his girl's excitement.

"And one really nice bathroom that has a big bathtub. And then every Friday after a long day I can take a nice, relaxing bath for hours."

Bethany waited for Brock to respond but after about five seconds of silence she looked up at him.

That frickin smile.

"What are you smiling at like that, Purdy?"

"You."

"What did I do to make you so happy?"

"Nothing... you were just so excited about your future house."

"My excitement over something silly like that makes you happy?"

"Of course. Your happiness means the world to me."

"And that's why I love you."

"You know... in a couple years time. When we get married and maybe have a little one on the way. I'm gonna build you that house."

Bethany just stared at the boy in awe.

Don't start crying.

"You would do that? And- and you want to get married? And have a baby?"

"Of course. Only with you. Obviously in the future not anytime soon. But one day... yes. I want that."

Bethany could yet again only stare at the boy whose arms she was in.

She wanted to say something.

Tell him something.

But it was too soon... right?

Too soon to tell him.

That she loved him.
