The next day Bethany called out from work. There was no way in hell Bethany was gonna risk facing Nick. Not yet.

When Bethany got home the previous day she showered and then immediately called Adriana. She told her everything and Adriana felt guilty that she didn't warn Bethany about Nick. Apparently he has a weird reputation with the girls that work for the 49ers. Adriana had offered to come over to Bethany's but surprisingly Bethany just wanted to be alone.

Bethany needed to do something that would get her mind off of everything. She needed to do something that she loved. An escape from reality.

As a little girl Bethany and her mother would come to San Francisco to watch the San Francisco Ballet's productions monthly. Since Bethany moved to San Francisco she had seen a couple of productions here and there but not as many as she would like. So, that was what she was going to do. The San Francisco Ballet was currently doing Romeo & Juliet. Bethany had seen it back when she was in high school but never since.

Is it weird that a tragic Shakesperian love story sounds comforting right now?

Bethany wore a nice outfit but nothing too tight or revealing. She didn't need any other guys getting any bad ideas.

Bethany arrived at the San Francisco War Memorial Opera House about 30 minutes before curtain. She had gotten seats in the orchestra pretty close to the stage. Bethany wanted to transport into the ballet. She wanted to go into a different world for a little while.

The lights dimmed and the orchestra began the overture. For the next three or so hours Bethany was not going to be in San Francisco. The moment that music started Bethany was in a town square watching two guys fight over who was better. Sure, it might be similar to reality but if they're fighting with pointed feet and graceful movements it's not that bad.
