This is a fanfiction based on Rebecca Yarros' Empyrean series, and I want to make it clear that I do not claim ownership of any of the original characters, their backstories, or their motivations. However since we don't really see the story from any of the side characters, a certain level of improvisation will need to happen in order to tell my story.
Also important to note: we haven't seen any of the other characters POV in any of the books, which means I will be taking creative liberties in fleshing out their characters, but I will do my best to stay faithful to Rebecca Yarros' portrayal of them, so if anyone has any suggestions on things I could change and improve, please feel free to comment (respectfully please)! However I do own my characters, Ashtyn and other side characters I decide to add later on!
