Heeseung's day had started out fine, he sat at the breakfast table with Sunoo, the younger radiating an infectious happiness that warmed his heart. These days, Sunoo seemed particularly happy.
He craves for this serene normalcy to continue indefinitely, to always have his kitten by his side, to share these unstoppable conversation during breakfast with his love.
Yet, he couldn't shake off the weight of the unresolved issues that loomed over him like a dark cloud. They gnawed at his peace, making him feel somewhat powerless when it came to his love.
The frustration simmered just beneath the surface. It was maddening how his father's grip still dictated his actions under the guise of family loyalty.
The constant pressure exerted by his father was suffocating, pushing Heeseung to the brink. His father’s morning call had been a harsh reminder of the rusted chains that bound him.
Yet, for the sake of Sunoo and his mother— the two people he love dearly— he forced himself to stay calm. He doesn't want to break their hearts, even though he knew that someday, inevitably, he might shatter one of their trust, and he knew who it will be.
Heeseung's brow furrowed with frustration as he fixed his piercing gaze on his secretary, who stood before him with his head bowed in deference. "Why didn't you tell me?" he demanded with his sharp and authoritative tone.
The secretary flinched slightly, feeling the weight of his boss's displeasure. "It was all so sudden, sir. I didn't had time to inform you." he replied, his voice quiet and apologetic as he bowed again, shoulders hunched.
Heeseung let out a heavy sigh with his expression hardening. "Go and find out the purpose behind Mr. Kang visiting my father." he commanded, dismissing the secretary with a curt wave of his hand.
The secretary nodded quickly, scurrying out of the office, eager to carry out Heeseung's orders and avoid further wrath.
Alone now, Heeseung turned his attention to his computer, his fingers flying across the keyboard as he called upon his network of Agent's. He needed proof, hard evidence - he couldn't afford to let this situation with Kang's spiral out of his control.
He is a man who prized power and dominance above all else, and the thought of his father and Mr. Kang conspiring creating more traps for him, filled Heeseung with a cold, seething rage.
He knew that if he tried to break free of his father's grip, they would use this company as a weapon against him, a means to remove him from the position he had so carefully cultivated.
"Absolutely unacceptable." Heeseung thought, his jaw clenching. He couldn't let it happen, not until every last detail was under his iron-fisted control.
A dark chuckle escaped Heeseung's lips as he stared at the computer screen, his hand slamming down hard on the desk, knuckles white with the force of his grip.
"How shameless you are Mr. Kang?" he muttered under his breath, eyes narrowed in disdain. But the evidence he needed, the proof of Kang's involvement in the illegal activity against government, still eluded him.
"How could someone be so smart, yet so foolish?" Heeseung wondered, his frustration mounting.
As he continued his relentless pursuit of information, the secretary returned, bowing low before Heeseung who paused, his expression hardening, and gestured for the man to speak.
He would listen, for now, but his thirst for power and control is insatiable. He is a force to be reckoned with, a man who would stop at nothing to maintain his dominance over the empire he had built for himself.
