"You know this is starting to get weird, right? " Lia eyed Melanie up and down as she was doing another sketch of Nilah.

"No it's not. " Melanie ignored her and zoomed in on one of Nilah's Instagram posts to take a better look on her facial features.

"Okay... " Lia said giving up.

The two girl were out at a coffee shop nearby their houses having a little study lesson together.

Well, Lia was the only one looking for some notes and watching chemistry YouTube videos to help her understand the subject better.

"Why isn't Nilah coming? " Melanie asked for the hundredth time causing Lia to sigh and throw her pen on the table.

"Can't you talk about something else? Jesus. She's spending some time with her brother and their friends." Lia said.

"Friends? Is she interested in anyone?" Melanie finally looked up from her sketchbook.

"How the hell am I supposed to know?" Lia rolled her eyes completely done with her.

"Sorry." Melanie smiled and whent back to drawing.

"Your acting strange." Lia muttered quietly for her not to hear.

It was true.

Melanie was starting to always ask Lia about their friend and it pissed her off sometimes. Nilah was the most interesting topic for her to talk about and it kind of made Lia uncomfortable.

Can't Melanie just ask about her day? Or be curious about her life?

No, it's always the blue-eyed girl Melanie talks about and Lia was starting to grow suspicious of her.

She honestly wanted to leave the coffee shop and go study alone at home rather than felling like a ghost.

Lia is a social butterfly and Melanie makes her feel like a total loner sometimes. She's making her loose confidence whenever it's only them without Nilah.

The girl cancelled because she wanted to spend some bonding time with her brother and friends. She's not dying or abandoning them.

Lia just hopes that Melanie does spam Nilah with messages to make her feel bad for not coming or pushing her.

Suddenly a text notification went off from Melanie's phone causing her to shift her attention away from her drawing.

"Hey, a girl I've been talking to asked to meet up. You mind if she tags along? " Melanie asked as she started typing.

Lia immediately nodded mentally thanking that girl for saving her from being alone with Melanie.

"Yeah, of course she can come. What's her name? " Lia asked.

"Camila."

"What should we do on new year's Eve?" Nilah whispered to her brother's ear while all of the boys focused on the movie playing on the television.

"I don't know we'll probably go on a small trip? Hoseok has a house near the beach, wanna go there?" Taehuyng asked as he chewed on some popcorn.

"Sounds like a plan." She sweetly smiled at him and he gently patted her head.

Everything was great.

They were all sitting in the living room watching a movie like a big happy family.

It was nice and Nilah loved whenever they all spent time together.

All of them did.

It's been a couple of days since they all gathered up to exchange gifts and Taehuyng called them over again to play video games and chill.
