The wound made by Natasha's death still raw and hurting, Yelena feels adrift and focuses on work, thinking it's the solution. But the last person she expected to see shows up at work. She thought he wanted to move on from those memories he formed years ago, back when he went through so much pain for her, and yet he keeps surprising her...
In this story, it is a bit like the movies and a bit like the comics. It'll all be explained as the story unfolds, so don't worry, just don't expect it to be exactly like the movies.

For the whole Red Room thing... ykw, I'll just tell you. The Winter Soldier comes to the Red Room like normal (like in the comics) but earlier, when Yelena is still there, and he plays a big part in her developement in this au.
