Reed POV:
At first, things were going okay. There was the upset with Yang and that guy, which caused us to be disqualified. But then...Pyrrha somehow managed to...decapitate someone.
Penny. The robot girl. I was the only one who knew the secret because she kinda sorta maybe accidentally revealed it. But I was good at keeping the secret down, but that didn't matter.
Some woman with evil amber eyes hijacked the big screen in the arena, and let me tell you. I had never seen Blace look so scared. Did he know the woman? I don't know...but it caused enough of a stir to where a large Nevermore smashed through the ceiling of the arena and began attacking.
And while my friends are on the ground, fending off Grimm, hacked Atlas bots and White Fang...I'm getting my butt handed to me by Roman and his friend. They have NO regrets beating the heck out of a 15 year old!
"Hah! Hey, don't take it too personally kid! This is just payback for the DUST SHOP!"
Roman ends that sentence with a knee to the face, followed by a kick to the stomach by the girl.
Her power is weird. It's illusions or something. And dang are they good ones at that...she's so casual with them too. She must've been the one to make Yang act up how she did. But...I dunno. None of us saw what she saw. What if another person has illusions? I mean, how many unique powers can you make up before there are slight similarities, right?
Even without the semblance, her skill and maneuverability is second to none. Worldshaper can't seem to land a single hit on her. She either deflects, blocks, dodges, or uses an illusion to mess with me. And to top it off, her synergy with Roman is ridiculous. If you told me they had rehearsed this fight somehow, I'd believe you. When he doesn't hit, she does. When she stops, he's there already.
This isn't even remotely fair. But are terrorist attacks meant to be fair? No.
Their duo attack almost sends me off the top of the hijacked Atlas ship, but I manage to dig Worldshaper into the ship before I'm sent off. I stand up and pant, watching them both stare at me in evil confidence.
It's weird. Roman is a bad guy, but the girl looks flat out evil. She's higher up on the evil chart then Roman, no doubt. At least off of looks.
"Hey...you know the Grimm are going to destroy everything. They don't just "side" with people. You'll be eaten by them once things are all done."
"Heh, trust me, kid. I know exactly what I'm doing." He jumps back and pulls out his scroll with a smile. "Neo. Get him."
Almost like a loyal pet, Neo nods and slowly saunters towards me as...as...
IS HE TAKING A DAMN CALL RIGHT NOW?! DURING ALL OF THIS?!
She rushes right at me in the blink of an eye and we engage in a very, VERY one sided fight. Frenzy can't even do me many favors here. No matter my speed and power, if I can't tell what's real and what isn't, I'm screwed. On top of that, she's way more skilled and experienced. You can be the strongest in the world, but if you don't know how to fight, you aren't the best. And that's my issue right here.
Frenzy allows me to at least be good defensively. I can avoid and block most kicks, punches and stabs from her umbrella.
Is it an umbrella? Or a parasol? I don't think I care about the difference right now...
"WHAT?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?! Oh no...!"
What's Roman screaming about? I didn't think he'd be capable of genuine fear like that.
Neo immediately pulls away from me like I'm not even a threat anymore and looks at Roman confused and concerned.
"I-It's Capo Valkyrie! His men are on the streets helping the huntsmen!"
