"Rainy!" Nora yells out after an incredibly long silence.

"...Nora. I don't think you can make a team name with two R's, a Y and an N."

Reed and Yang are following Ren and Nora through a forest in the middle of Mistral. We say Mistral, but frankly, we have no clue where they are, and if you told us Nora didn't know, we'd fully believe you.

"Do we really need a team name? We took out the Geist relatively easy." Reed responds, scraping some Grimm flesh off his sword. "Rainy is a bit of a stretch, ain't it? R, R, N, Y. Reny, Rainy, Rany-"

"LET'S DO RENYYYY!" Nora screams in excitement. She needs to destroy a nearby tree with her hammer to properly exert the energy. The entire tree explodes like how a bird does when hit by a fastball (we've all seen the video).

"...right...anyways, team names are fun! Rainy could work, but it doesn't sound very...intimidating." Yang follows up.

"Okay, yeah, neither does RWBY. RRNY might be better somehow."

Ren, Yang and Reed follow behind the somehow still ecstatic Nora. After defeating the Geist Grimm, they stopped by a settlement and received payment for the job and continued on their way. They're heading towards Ren's home town of Kuroyuri. Years ago, it was home to Ren and Nora, after her mother was killed in a Grimm attack. After it was attacked by Grimm, killing most of the residents, Ren and Nora lived in a nearby orphanage, living off of Rens' family's will until they could apply to Beacon and become huntsmen. Now, with enough training in them and a stronger mental fortitude, they want to go back to the destroyed town and defeat the Nuckelavee, a large horse like Grimm with a humanoid body fused on the top. It was the main attacker in the invasion.

"Have you two heard from Blace or Weiss?"

This question brings Yang and Reed out of boredom. While Reed doesn't really know what to feel, Yang feels mad.

"Gr...guess so. Blace went off to do his own thing before Beacon opens back up, but he shut us out. He said he doesn't want us getting hurt or whatever bullshit excuse he-" Reed cuts her off with a hand on her shoulder. This quickly brings her temper back down and even deactivates her semblance. "...sorry. But yeah, Blace said he's doing stuff with Qrow for the time being, and Weiss is stuck in Atlas. I haven't been able to talk to her much, but she did confirm she is coming back when school is up again. Uh...what about Pyrrha?"

"She is getting personal training with her Maiden powers by the Headmaster and Miss Goodwitch, so she's staying in Vale. I think...I think Jaune is the biggest motivator for her right now. She's quieter whenever me or Nora call her, but she's no longer sad or depressed from it. She's beginning to prioritize others over herself. It's not a healthy mindset, but as long as it doesn't hurt her in the long run, it can be a nice temporary coping mechanism."

Jaune's death, Weiss being forced back to Atlas and Blace acting on his own. All these things are lowering Reed and Yang's morale, but Ren and Nora requesting their presence on this "trip" to Mistral is keeping their heads above water. Their adventure may not be as exciting as Maiden training or interrupting an assassination on a time manipulating gangster (not that they know), but this is much better then their usual day of sparring and lounging or occasionally going out to the smaller villages on Patch.

"How have you two...uh..." Reed wanted to ask the question but he didn't know how to word it without it being awkward. "...how have you two handled Jaune's...death?"
