???: "Boss. The White Fang are attempting a negotiation."
Boss: "I see. Who are they sending out to "speak" with me."
???: "A-A chameleon Faunus, sir. From Menagerie. Ilia Amitola."
Boss: "Interesting. A Faunus from the south. That isn't Adam's territory to control, at least not to my knowledge. Perhaps this is from Sienna. If so..."
The boss turns the TV off in his office, which was broadcasting a history channel, and turns his chair around. For the first time in the subordinate's career as a gangster for the Valkyries, she can see her boss's eyes.
Grey. An oddly glowing grey, not to be mistaken with silver.
Boss: "...I will accept this little talk with their messenger. Directly."
???: "S-Sir?! Are you sure?! T-They're a bunch of terrorists! Are you not worried this Faunus will be some assassinator? O-Or a trap?"
The boss looks up at his subordinate and simply turns his chair back around. He turns the TV back on and changes the channel to a recapping of the Vytal Tournament. It's a battle between Team JNPR and BRNZ.
???: "I'm not surprised you'd worry of me, Bianca. But there's a reason I'm the leader of such a powerful organization. There's a reason Sienna is the head honcho of the White Fang, why Ozpin is the Headmaster of Beacon Academy, and Cinder is who she is as well..."
He silently watches the fight for a bit longer before turning it off and running a hand through his maroon colored hair.
Boss: "You do not come into power weak. There's something about them that surpasses their competition, that makes them who they are. You shouldn't worry about me, Bianca. Worry about yourself."
Bianca hears a strange sound, like a small gust of wind whooshing past her. She notices the chair behind his desk slightly move after hearing the wind. She leans forward and gasps at the sight of the chair being empty. The boss is gone in an instant with no real sound produced. Her eyes widen in nervousness, but oddly enough, this feat of his puts her at slight ease. The boss is menacing and downright disturbing at times, but he'd never hurt or kill his own men. She knew that much.

"You've got missions with Qrow now? I'm almost jealous."
Yang is sitting in a lawn chair at her home's front yard, watching Reed and Tai lightly spar. Ever since Reed's awakening at the attack on Beacon, their Dad has been doing his best to come out of "retirement" and help train up this new power of Reed's. Definitely not master it, but at least find a way to control it.
"Yeah. I, uh, can't really go back to Menagerie yet. Too much stuff going on. At every angle I can go, there's White Fang. Life's a bit tricky right now."
Blace's voice comes through the scroll on her lap through the "speaker".
"Ah. Makes sense. Hey, we always have spare room at our cabin, y'know. Dad would be worried about me bringing a boy home, but you're friends with Reed too, so he can't get too upset."
