For five long months or so,
Don Juan's journey took its toll,
Until he reached a sacred place,
A hermit's dwelling in a peaceful space.

There, he found a hermit sage,
With a flowing beard, quite an old-age,
His appearance struck with awe,
A sight that left Don Juan in jaw.

The hermit spoke with gentle grace,
"Wanderer, leave this sacred space,
For many years, I've dwelled here alone,
No one like you has ever shown."

Don Juan replied with humble voice,
"Sir, I come by a divine choice,
I'm on a mission, as you can see,
Guided by a revered elderly."

"Here sir, please do take
This piece of clothing for his sake,"
Don Juan handed over with care
The precious dress for the hermit to wear.

He donned the robe and sighed,
Tears welled up, he couldn't hide,
His eyes were like a flowing stream,
Reflecting a sorrowful dream.

He uttered with heartfelt grace,
"Lord Jesus, in this holy place,
For the first time, I now see
The beautiful robe meant for me.

All my life, I've been blind,
I can't repay what's in my mind,
For the kindness you've shown,
My sins and mistakes I must atone."

He placed a precious robe
Upon the hermit's chest,
And then he asked again,
The prince, don Juan, expressed.

"What brings you here, my friend,
To this humble abode?"
Said the prince with concern,
"Please let my story be told."

Don Juan, in his reply,
"A hermit of great might,
I seek with all my might,
The kingdom of the Crystal Light."

The hermit then did say,
"In Jesus' holy name,
For five hundred years I've stayed,
In this place, my life's the same."

"I knew not of the realm
Of the Crystal Kingdom's light,
A distant land, it seems,
You search with all your might."

"Let us see if in my care,
Through creatures on this land,
They've reached the kingdom rare,
The crystal reign so grand."

He then rang a bell with care,
And animals appeared in stride,
Together they did fare,
The hermit's kin and guide.

Among this gathered throng,
His trusted animal friends,
He asked them before long,
The hermit's quest to comprehend.

"In your travels far and wide,
Across the mountain's stride,
Who knows of the realm you seek,
The Crystal Kingdom, unique?"

The collective reply they gave,
"We know not of this land,
A distant kingdom, save,
Your question's too far a strand."

"Ten unicorns, they did say,
Rule over all of their kind,
Yet, even they cannot convey,
The realm you wish to find."

The hermit's voice then rang,
Don Juan heard it clear,
"Even though my kin's the gang,
The answer's not within our sphere."

"Now I shall instruct you clear,
Obey and do not stray,
To the seventh mountain steer,
Where dawn meets close of day.

Carry the robe in your hand,
To the mountain's top you'll stray,
There, the hermit must understand,
The message you convey.

And summon the unicorn king,
To accompany you hence,
Don Juan, with this task bring,
To your noble sibling's defense."

Don Juan then journeyed on,
Riding on a unicorn he'd found,
They travelled till the dawn,
To the mountain's hallowed ground.

When they reached their destination,
To their planned meeting site,
The unicorn with determination,
Soon vanished from his sight.
