The lanky spider demon was home earlier, making his flamboyant presence vivid by stretching his four arms with a loud moan. He walked into the hotel going straight to the barman, who albeit surprised to see him at that hour, hid the curiosity behind his snark remarks.

«Very funny! I'm trying to force Val into giving me a lunch break.»
«And he is agreeing to this just like that?»
«Not at all, I sneaked out. But he's gonna deal with it. Ah, just bring me a beer.»
«Man, he must be so pissed right now.»

The cat-looking sinner lent the porn celebrity a beer, but an expression of worry and concern started to grow into his smoky black eyes with yellow irises.

«Y'know... I'm always all in for sticking it to Val, but...»
«Ehy.»

Angel Dust gently placed his hand over that of the barman, much to the latter's dorky embarrassment. But he quickly regained his cool, after all, everyone was super busy in the Hazbin Hotel. Since the last extermination, and with Lucifer now residing there, new sinners came from all of the pride ring to try the foolish pact to redemption.

Husk and Angel Dust could basically devour each other with their eyes and no one would notice a thing amidst the chaos, the previous feeling of the group having slightly been lost, but for the better, not the worse.

«Don't worry, I've got this. Although, It's adorable to see you worried.»
«Fuck off! I'm worried for real! If that son of a bitch touches you again I'll see red. You better call me.»
«Right, right, I'll do! Now, if you excuse me, I'll go actually rest during my break. Unless... You wanna join me~»
«Come on.»

They both laughed it off. There was a time when Angel would tease Husk uniquely for tormenting him and break into his boundaries. Now those dirty comments became one of their many inside jokes, a way to reminish their initial collide. But without those struggles, they could never be where they are.

Angel waved him a quick goodbye, going for the stairs and then his room. Oblivious of the evil lurking within.

He closed the door behind himself.
Strange, usually fat nuggets always fawned all over him once inside.
As he raised his pretty white head, everything became clear.

«My, quite the artsy room you've got.»

There I was, like a shadow. I sat on his bed while his pet stayed under it. I wore my usual hood, and my white mask who only had two teary holes to see. Not only was I a stranger, but a very shady one too.

So it wasn't all that surprising that the first thing Angel did was pulling a gun on me.

«Don't move.»

He intimidated me, dead serious. With another hand he tried to open the closed door, to no avail.

«What the-...?»

I rose from the bed. Hm, once again my interlocutor towered over me. Either I was short or the afterlife was full of super tall people. Maybe both. The room of Angel had a pink hue who made the chaos of the sex toys, make up, dresses, and so on feel almost organized. But in reality he was just as messy as me.

«You could try screaming for help, but no one would hear a thing. The instant you closed the door your room became a separate space, even a ballistic missile would't break these walls. But don't you worry, I'm here to just ta-»

I backed up a little from the recoil. The demon didn't hesitate to shot me in the face, but my mask took the hit, letting the broken bullet fall on the carpet.

«How reckless. What if killing me doesn't neutralize the spell and you're trapped here forever?»
«That mask...»

Even he could tell something was off about my facial armament. It faintly glowed white after blocking the bullet, without a scratch.
