A boy was on his merry way in the pride ring's hellish roads. His long white hair fell on his shoulders like snow, just paler than his skin. He was confident in his appearance. Once demons, many sinners had to come to terms with their new forms, but besides the unnatural colors, his change wasn't as drastic. Although, his beauty was more that of the prefabricated kind, as if made to be, like a porcelain toy.
He rose his shining white irises contained in a purple sclera that emitted a faint glow, and studied the massive building that was the V Tower. Three neon V were the logo, and although of simple architecture, the complex was enormous, soaring the crimson skies.

Who was that boy, you might ask?
But me, of course.

Just before entering the main lobby, I swallowed down a pill.

«Good evening, I'm looking for Valentino. I'm interested in a job application.»

The demon at the lobby raised an eyebrow.

«Uh... Usually Valentino scouts his own employees.»
«... He isn't there?»
«No, he's in his penthouse.»

Suddenly, I felt observed.
Yet, not a camera on sight. That was probably the work of Vox. I knew he had complete visual inspection of the whole tower and a bunch of other places in hell. He knew a lot, and I didn't like that.

But that was one of the pros of hiding your apparence for years. Not even him was able to tell who I was.

«Can I have your name?»
«I go around by Hood.»
«Hood... Hood...»

The secretary scrolled through a list of names.

«I can't find you.»
«That's probably because I died recently. Basically no one knows me.»

I played a bit with my hair. After a while, the demon shrugged his shoulders.

«Valentino can see you. Take the hall on the right and you'll find an elevator at the end.»
«Thank you.»

Lots of posters of Angel Dust, or other porn actors and actresses hanged from the empty hall, so empty the sound of my steps was deafening. There were also some pictures of the Vees.
I stopped to examine one of the big V himself, Valentino.

The secretary at the lobby kept his cyan eyes on me all the way through. I wasn't surprised.
Valentino wasn't known for having the best of characters. He was a violent and impulsive man, and anyone knew that. I must've looked like either a fool or someone ignorant to him, but he didn't warn me.
Not under Vox's eyes. Plus, I don't think he really wanted to.

Speaking of, I decided to speed up my pace to not keep Valentino waiting. The last thing I needed was to enrage him even before meeting me.

The elevator took me high, to another hall.
At the end of it two elegant demons gracefully opened a door, prolly informed of my arrival. I stepped inside without hesitation.

«"Hood" uh? I admit, you're pretty enough. You have a very shitty name however, hon. If you want to work for me, we'll have to find something... sparkling. That's how stars are ought to be.»

A charming voice greeted me.
It belonged to the man who sat on the hot pink couch.
Enjoying himself he was, blowing red smoke from his cigarette and holding up a glass of liquor with one of his four arms.
He indeed looked like a demon - an overlord, who wore passion itself.

«By all means, come closer. I want to see you better.»

Another step forward was made on my part, and then... I faked my first blush. As our eyes met, red versus purple, I avoided that contact.
I knew he liked it.

«What's the matter?»

He rose up from the couch, revealing himself to be yet another extra tall demon - But Valentino deserved an honorable mention for being the tallest.
