Baby Sua || Straykids Family Fic

~Chapter 11~

Han could feel Minho stare at him once they saw Sua officially out of the room. He knew something was wrong and that he was holding back from him. Which only pissed him off, and he could tell. "Jisung," he called. That was never good. Felix and Seungmin panicked as they remained at the table. They could hear the anger festering in his voice. Only they knew what was wrong with him. "Felix," he called instead, assuming he would know.

"What's going on with Jisung??" he asked, a small, forced smile creasing his lips.

"I-I don't think anything's wrong," he confidently replied, or he hoped he did.

"Hmm, but he can't look me in the eyes," he continued in the same tone, talking as if Han wasn't sitting beside him. Felix looked over to Han, who fearfully lowered his head.

"It's Sua's birthday," Felix nervously laughed. "She's waiting for us to open presents. Changbin, help me up," he continued, grasping his hands.

"Okay," he sneered, his tone a little deeper. He aggressively pushed his chair back and exited the room. They could hear Sua's loud cheer as she saw him throwing herself into his arms.

"Guys," Chan said, looking around at the table. Only he and Changbin were unaware of what was going on.

"It's nothing," Han quickly said, sitting up and joining the others. Minho sat on the couch with Sua in his lap. A large pile of presents surrounded his feet. They had truly spoiled her. Once everyone entered the living room, Hyunjin excitedly started to hand her a pair of presents.

"This is from Uncle Chan and Seungmin," he said as he sat it on her lap. They two stood watching, Chan still holding Yejun as she started to tear it open with Minho giving her a little help. Her mouth dropped open as she saw the animals on the book's cover. She immediately moved to pushing the buttons that lined the side. She giggled as it roared at her, mimicking the sound herself, getting carried away as she started pushing the other buttons.

"Open this one too," Minho laughed, as she was already fixed on the only one present. She started tearing it open as well. Inside were matching animal figurines to the book.

"Daddy elfant," she excitedly said, seeing the elephant mixed in with the others.

"It's your favorite," he smiled at her. She immediately looked at the two standing by the couch. Jumping down from Minho's lap.

"Thank you," she said, running to them and hugging Seungmin's leg. He crouched down kissing the top of her head as he hugged her back.

"You're so welcome," he gently said, hugging her tighter before pulling her away. "You have so many more to open,"  he smiled, and she immediately turned back to Minho and climbed back into his lap.

In addition to the book, Chanmin got her a cute elephant-themed blanket and a few cute outfits she loved so much. Changlix got her a wooden barn with likewise animal figurines and a big alphabet animal rug for her to put in her room. HyunIN got her an elephant rocker, a doodle board, and building blocks. Minsung got her own tiny kitchen with play food, a whole new assortment of children's books to fill her bookcase and animal coloring books. A custom animal puzzle with her name in the center and an animal matching puzzle. And so many new bath toys.

She was so overwhelmed by all the gifts, jumping up to say thank you and hug everyone in the room after she opened every gift. She felt loved, and everyone in the room could see it. They could see her eyes brighten as she saw them, the smile that never left her face. They could see that she loved and appreciated every gift that was given to her, no matter how big or small. She was such a grateful child.

"Okay, my beautiful girl," Han said, crouching down beside Hyunjin. She smiled as she moved into his arms. "We have one more gift for you, from Daddy and me," he said, kissing the top of her head. He could feel her getting excited all over again. "Me and daddy are gonna go get it," Han said, looking up at Minho, probably for the first time in the passing hour.

"Okay," she smiled as she pulled away, sitting back on the floor, patiently waiting. Han started for the other room, and Minho quickly got up to follow him, gently kissing Sua's head as he passed.

Sua turned back to her toys. She smiled as she looked for a specific one. She furrowed her eyebrows as she couldn't find it in the pile around her.

"Which one, Sua," Hyunjin asked as he noticed her searching.

She looked up at the couch and immediately lit up again, that beautiful smile brightly covering her face. "That one," she said as she moved over and grabbed the book she had opened first.

"Ha, she likes ours best," Seungmin smugly said as if it were a competition. "Sua, this one is your favorite," he asked, crouching down to her level.

"I like all," she proudly said as she continued playing with the book, giggling after pushing the different animals' buttons, which caused everyone to laugh. Seungmin shrugged as he stood back up. He was still convinced it was her favorite. ~~
