Raindrops fall silent, it's 3 in the morning,
I hear my heartbeat rise and fall,
In the pitch black, my mind runs wild,
Anxious heart, cigarette burning low,
Fog cloaks the room as I lie in bed,
Lost again, when I thought I'd found solace,
Dazed, unhinged by this restless state.Heartbreaks and mends, the same old story,
Caught between lines, in a tug of war,
Yet again, I don't know where I am at,
At ground zero, a chill in my heart,
Flowing through veins, nonchalant. Why it hurts? Deep down, I am aware,
In the still of night, my mind roams wild,
Seeking peace in shadows, yet again, lost again.
