Dream landMeet you at the dream land,
Where dreams blend seamlessly with reality's strand.
A dream so vivid, I couldn't tell it apart,
Every night, I saw you in shades of grey,
Holding you close, feeling you were mine,
Once again, we were happy in our little world.
I wished those moments were more than a dream.
Praying to God, let it last forever,
Never wanting to wake, not now, not ever.
Jealousy
A hint of jealousy clouds my mind,
Imagining someone else will be treated
The same way you did to me,
That they'll feel the warmth of your embrace,
And the sweetness of your touch,
That they'll hear the tenderness in your voice,
And see the love in your eyes.
It tears at me, this thought,
That what we had will be given to another,
As if it were never ours at all.
I hate thinking someone will be treated,
The same way you did to me.
If you knew..
Like I said, I'm chasing my dreams now,
Living as you did, trying all I vowed.
If only you knew, how far I've come,
I know you'd smile, proud of what I've become.
Encouraging me with "ganbare D chauwaan,"
Calling my name out so loud.
In your sweetest voice, cheering me on,
Through every challenge, until I've won.
As I carry your spirit, your love so pure,
With each step forward, I feel you near.
Moving on
Delusion or love, Heartbreak, sadness, or anger thereof.
It's all in the past, time has healed,
Once begging my heart, "hurt less," I appealed.
I thought I'd perish from the pain's cruel sting,
Now I see it was a process, an ironic thing.
Sober now, stronger, still you cross my mind,
But each day, your memory fades, gently resigns.
No longer does it ache, no longer do I pine,
Thinking of you brings sweet joy, a memory divine.
The cigarette feels different now, not quite right,
As each day passes, everything fades from sight.
One day soon, I know, I'll feel nothing at all,
Just beautiful memories, cherished like a gentle thrall.
End.....
