♡ chapter twenty six ♡

I'm at Yeonjun's house with Kai waiting for the boys to pick us up so that we can all go shopping for our Halloween costumes.

Yeonjun and Kai are in his living room playing video games while I'm at Yeonjun's kitchen table working on Chemistry homework.

My phone begins to ring beside me and I get all giddy when I realize it's Vivian face timing me.

I set my phone up against the plant in the center of the table before answering, "HEY VIV!"

"HEYYYY! I've been so busy with school and student council that I've been forgetting to text you! I'm sorry Ari." She says pouting on that last part causing me to chuckle, she is also doing homework at her desk.

I shake my head, "Don't worry, I've also been busy with school."

"Yeah and her new boyfriend." Yeonjun says creeping up behind me.

"Who is thankfully not you." Vivian says smiling sarcastically causing Yeonjun to smile, "Great to see you too Viv."

"Hi Vivian!" Kai shouts from the couch still playing the game, I pick up my phone to show her the boy as she smiles.

"Hi Kai! Where's everyone else?"

"Taehyun's throwing this huge Halloween party next weekend so they've been helping him all day set up. And I was hanging out with Kai earlier so we decided to break into Yeonjun's house because he wasn't answering his phone."

"I was sleeping!" He says loudly causing me to roll my eyes jokingly.

"Hold on back up, a party? Am I invited?" She says smirking.

I sigh, "I wish, I miss you so much."

"I know, but only two more months and then I'll be with you for a whole month! I can't wait." She says excitedly. Yeah, me neither.

"Tell her what happened last night." Kai says sitting beside me at the table.

I furrow my eyebrows, "About what?"

"Y'know-" Yeonjun says making kissing faces as he joins us at the table.

"Oh god- he told you?"

"He told us you guys were finally official so we kinda put the puzzle pieces together." Yeonjun says as Vivian gasps.

"Wait- did you guys KISS?"

I nod my head in embarrassment as she squeals loudly, "Oh my god Ari that's amazing! Was he better than Yeonjun?"

Yeonjun grabs my phone and faces it towards him, "HEY!"

Vivian begins to laugh, "I'm happy for you Ari, hashtag official." I smile.

The front door opens as Taehyun walks in, "You guys don't know how to answer your phones?! Come on let's go!" He says before turning around to leave.

"Viv the boys are here so I have to go. But I'll facetime you later and show you what costume me and Beomgyu end up choosing."

"Oh my god matching couples costume that is so cute! I'm jealous." She says causing me to turn red and smile.

"Have fun and be careful! Bye boys!" Kai and Yeonjun wave goodbye to her before I hang up and follow behind them out the door.

"Oooo what about this?" Taehyun says holding up a sexy nurse costume up to his body, Soobin chuckles.

"That'd look perfect on you!" Soobin says teasingly, "No I meant for you." Taehyun says causing the rest of us to laugh while Soobin throws a fit out of embarrassment.

Beomgyu pulls me over to where all the couples costumes are and begins to look through them.

"We could pull up as the classic Peanut Butter & Jelly?" He says wiggling his eyebrows.

I chuckle, "Nooo, we have to be something iconic."

"Then why don't we just be ourselves?" He says, I point at him, "That's not a bad idea." He smiles down at me and kisses the top of my head before continuing to search for our costumes.

"You would look beautiful as a Daphne." He says holding up the Fred & Daphne costume.

"I feel like we're more Velma and Shaggy no?"

"Or Shaggy and Scooby." He says jokingly causing us both to burst into laughter earning ourselves a few odd looks from the people around us.

We continue to look for what feels like ages. I'm starting to think we won't find anything until-

"ARIANA! COME LOOK AT THIS COSTUME!" I hear Alex shout from across the store.

I make my way over to him- Beomgyu following after me as he holds up the PERFECT costume.

I gasp, "Oh. my. god. Beomgyu can we pleaseee~ do this?"

"What even is that?"

Me and Alex both look at him wide eyed before- "WHAT?!" We shout in unison.

"You're telling me you've never seen The Notebook?!"

"Isn't that a school supply?"

Alex chuckles at the boys comment before I roll my eyes and point at the costume, "No- it's only one of the best romance movies of all time."

"Even I've seen it. But only because she made me watch it a trillion times when we were kids."

"Don't pretend you don't love it- him and Vivian used to pretend to be Noah and Allie all the time."

"Who?" Beomgyu furrows his eyebrows as I groan in frustration.

He chuckles, "Okay okay- if it means that much to you we can wear the costume. You can even show me the movie tonight if you'd like." He says softly rubbing my back.

I look up at him and smile, how'd I get so lucky.

"Are you sure?" I say staring up into his boba eyes while holding onto his free hand. He nods and smiles down at me before leaning in and kissing me softly, "Whatever makes you happy."

Alex makes a noise with his mouth indicating he's about to 'throw up' before handing me the costume, "You people make me sick." He says before walking off and leaving us there to laugh by ourselves.
