The image everyone sees

As soon as the first light of day appears on the horizon, all the workers of Metthanan Manor rise to carry out their assigned tasks, bringing the great home to life. On the contrary, for the heart of the eldest son of the house, no matter how bright the sky, it is like living in complete darkness. He takes a shower and gets dressed. He looks at himself in the mirror, checking the final result. At this moment, the mirror reflection reveals a tall boy. The attractive face shows a face with a mix of two races that fit together perfectly. Dark eyebrows, straight and prominent nose, lips have a thin shape as if they are pressed together to look thin and narrow, and his eyes... Beautiful amber eyes that shine when they reflect the light. While attractive and beautiful to look at, those eyes look like huge, deep holes. The person who still looks at his reflection with anxiety begins to relax... Smiling. A smile that has been simulated from an early age seems to even come from the heart of himself. A smile that will make anyone's heart beat, but it's the smile he hates so much, it's... Disgusting.

How could I stop smiling?

It's a question that has been asked since the age of seven the age where he knows hope is lost, but knows it must be built by his hard work. Tul looks at his reflection once more before turning to grab his backpack and then exit the room... seconds before his feet touch the edge of the door, his sharp eyes relax and exchange with gentle ones.

“Good morning Khun Tul.”

“Do you have work this early?”

The image he emanates even makes the servants fall in love with him and, upon seeing him, they greet him cordially and receive a smile in return. While a deep, soft voice looking from left to right whispers softly.

“I'm busier than usual today, Khun Tul, Khun Try and Mrs. Rassa are having breakfast. While they do that I offered to clean the room.”

"Today, father and mother?”

"Yes."

"Then I have to hurry, it's probably not good to keep them waiting.”

“Have a nice day, Khun Tul.”

The young man of mixed race greets him with a beautiful smile, the other looks at the young man and thanks him. He quickly climbs the stairs, while he talks to himself in a soft voice.

“Khun Tul is really cute! Not like Khun Try's wife or little Tin.”

This is precisely the image that Tul has “deliberately” created in everyone all this time. Meanwhile, the tall body quickly advances and enters the dining room, with sharp eyes looking at the person drinking coffee at the head of the table. Next to him is a middle-aged woman who looks beautiful.

“What's happening today?”

Having breakfast as a family may be a normal thing in other homes, but not at Metthanan Manor.

"Oh! Tul, sit down. Do you have school today?”

"Yes, mother. At 10:00. But there's a student council meeting, so I have to go a little earlier than usual.”

Tul turns to respond cordially to the person everyone calls the landlady. Even though she has a totally youthful face like that of an Asian girl, no one is surprised when the young man calls her “mother...” which, by the way, is not her biological mother.

“So responsible! Mom trusts that Tin is at least half as responsible as his older brother.”

Rassa sighs with a half-smile before thinking indignantly of her younger son, who is actually her only real son studying abroad.
