Little Phupha and Mr. Hin

“Nong Phu, from now on Gornhin will come here and stay with us, son.”

“...”

“Hi Phu.”

“...”

At the beginning of the conversation, Gornhin feels stressed, but when he sits in front of the Phupha child who has a sweet face and red cheeks, the young man feels that the atmosphere is very tense. For this reason Phu does not approach him, but looks at him with a hostile look. And partly it was because Tul tells him this:

“Then Nong Phu has to call Hin, Daddy Hin, okay?”

“...Nong'Phu wants to eat ice cream.”

He clearly doesn't agree and not only that, but Phupha contemptuously looks away from Gornhin, climbs onto his father's lap and talks like a spoiled child, so Tul sighs heavily.

“We're not done talking yet.”

“Nong Phu wants to eat ice cream,” the boy repeats stubbornly, as he doesn't understand why his father wants him to call the other man ‘father’ when he only has one father! It's the same with her as his mother, why does she want him to call the other man “father”? He has only one father, and his name is Tul, and he will always be the only one.

Phu thinks as his face shows his annoyance.

“You don't want your dad to get mad, do you?”

Phu purses his lips again and throws an indignant look at that boy, who is sitting silently in his place.

Why would Nong'Phu give his respect to people he doesn't even know?

Phupha would like to respond that way, but being with P’Can so often makes the child more careful, and that's because if P'Can didn't think his way of speaking was right, he would hit him (on the head). Furthermore, Ai'Tin has never taken his side until now, so Phupha is afraid to say so.

Ai'Tin was kidnapped by P’Can, his mother was stolen by that blond haired man. Now that Phupha has only his father left, Phu is not willing to give him up to anyone.

“Dad, are you scolding me?” the child makes a sad face, opens his mouth, pretending to shed tears at which Tul sighs softly, gently rocking his son back and forth.

“If Nong Phu is a good child, his father will not be angry.”

“Nong Phu is a good child, but Nong has no duty to pay homage to strangers. That's what grandma told me.”

“So, between what your father and grandmother say, Nong'Phu prefers to be like this?”

Phupha shakes his head, looks at his father's eyes which are still fierce until he turns to look at the other who sits silently.

“Hi.” Hin says.

“Well, what are you going to do?”

“Dad!”

“Nong Phu.”

“Hi.” Phu says again, but fails to raise his hands to pay proper respect to Gornhin. But it's a step forward.

“Good boy. Then dad will go and ask someone to get you some ice cream.”

Tul tells him kindly, but as the boy is about to get up to follow his father...

“Sit here and wait a while, dad will be here soon.”

Tul ignores Gornhin's tense gaze, smiles at him and strides out of the room, leaving the child sitting with someone who has never raised a child. As for this five-year-old, he seemed even harder to deal with than Tul himself.
