Lonely Heart

If the tenderness that Khun Tul showed in the hospital was great, this morning's rest was even more so, there is no telling how many more times it can be so.

This morning Gornhin woke up with excruciating pain, but lighter than yesterday. The first thing he sees when he wakes up is his master entering the small room completely drenched in sweat, indicating that he got up early and completed his daily exercise routine. Hin immediately looks into his beautiful light eyes while Tul uses a small towel to wipe the sweat from his face.

“Are you still in pain?”

“Partially yes.”

The servant touches his wound and tries to have a cheerful voice, not wanting the other to worry. He thinks his condition is much better, he can get up and go to work.

“I'm better now, Khun Tul, you'd better go back to the mansion.”

The boss has been sleeping in that small room for the last two nights, so Gornhin wants his master to go back to sleeping peacefully in his soft bed and not on that hard mattress that surely causes him terrible back pain.

“Now I'm going back to my room.”

Hin feels great relief hearing this. While she gets up and makes the bed, the master goes to a corner of the room to get something and then orders in a soft tone.

“Then, come with me.”

“Huh?”

The owner of the room opens his eyes in surprise. Although they have private rooms, there is only one small bathroom that employees have to share so, Gornhin puts the bathroom things in order ready to easily carry them from one side to the other. But now these things are in the hands of young Tul.

“I heard your mother say you can't wash your hair without getting the bandage wet, right?”

“Err...”

Despite the strange sensation, Gornhin hears the voice speaking in a soft tone. This morning he asked his mother to wash his hair, as he is afraid that the wound would get wet if she were to try it alone. He never would have thought that his master listened to the discussion.

“I'll wash your hair today.”

“What?!”

Gornhin immediately feels like he's still dreaming. He looks at the smiling Tul, who doesn't want to hear any protests and who turns to go forward while he holds the personal effects he took from the bedroom, so the young man rushes to join him and speak quickly.

“Khun Tul doesn't have to do it. I can ask my mother to help me.”

“She's at work now. If you distract her to have your hair washed, my stepmother will scold her, and can you allow it?”

“...”

It's true what the boss says, but he thinks he can wait until his mother has a free moment or he could ask someone else to help him.

“But...”

“Don't argue anymore and follow me.”

Khun Tul doesn't want to argue, so he walks calmly towards the main house where the servants are busy in the kitchen and towards the area around the house where the gardeners begin watering the plants and pruning every day. So it is very difficult to meet anyone on the way to the second floor where the young half-breed's room is located.

“Khun Tul, I can wash myself...”

Gornhin tries to argue, although he does so when they enter the large room, because the mere thought of a servant like him allowing the boss to wash his hair scares him. Tul walks to get a towel and enters the bathroom, then points to a large bathtub that has rarely been used.
