Fiancée

Inside an upscale restaurant, Naphawadee sits stirring rice that has been cooling for several minutes with her fork. Her big, beautiful eyes just stare at the phone screen, which remains silent as she presses and bites her lips anxiously. She has never been that kind of impatient person, but that's because of the boy called Tul Metthanan. Every time she sends him a text message, the girl sits and anxiously waits for her response, and this morning she also greets him like the other times.

[Good morning P'Tul.]

Even though it is an unimportant message, she still waits for his response.

The waiting continues until the rice is completely cold and unappetizing, until suddenly the phone vibrates and the screen lights up. The girl lets go of the fork in her hand and quickly grabs the phone with both hands, almost hitting one of the glasses on the table.

Surely, today a lot of people will think that she is acting like a crazy person. The beautiful girl quickly reads the message, and just as quickly types a reply she doesn't mind waiting a few minutes and then sending her reply because... It only takes a moment of waiting for the person on the other end to reply:

[Now that I'm talking to Wadee, that’s enough to keep you smiling all day.]

Naphawadee opens her mouth slightly, her cheeks blushing before turning into a happy smile. For her, the day immediately became beautiful.

“Are you and Tul already together?”

“What!”

The girl is so engrossed, she almost drops the phone from her hand when she looks up and can see her mother, who has sat down in a nearby chair without her noticing that’s why her heart panics and she feels embarrassed at the same time

“What do you say mother?”

“Tell me, how long have you been dating? Hasn't enough time passed for Tul to decide to formalize the relationship? You've been dating for months. So why shouldn't people talk about it when they meet? If someone asks you, you will answer like a celebrity that just dating doesn't mean anything?”

Then his mother says in a disgusted tone. “Tul is really bad, he leaves us no choice but to accelerate the matter.”

The girl opens her mouth in surprise and her cheeks turn red in embarrassment at hearing her say those words.

“Mother!”

“You don't need to say anything Wadee. If it doesn't formalize yet, I will. I will talk to Rassa about how he will handle the matter with Tul. If people continue to talk like this, we will only lose our prestige and reputation.”

“I don't see why there's any need to rush.”

The daughter tries to argue. Although she has no problem broaching such a topic with Tul, as her heart is more than willing to accept and love him, but going out for some time to get to know each other more, isn't that much better? But the mother already has a purpose in mind.

“How can you not hurry, do you know how many women have their eyes on Tul? Although he did not have an inheritance from Khun Thannya, he is the eldest son he will end up inheriting everything. Do you know how lucky that family is? Hundreds of money hungry women have their eyes on him. You have to be very careful not to lose him to one of those whores. You better hurry before he finds one that is completely suitable for him.”

The more Wadee listens, the more uncomfortable he becomes, so he prefers to bend over to finish his meal because rather than stay and continue to listen to her mother talking and arguing, it is better to go.
