"The warmth that embraces me, familiar to the touch." Thor gazed at the burning glow from the distant light. Warm, soothing, the cold from the snow and chilling breeze of the dawn breaks at the soft caress of the sun-like imitation bathing the God of Thunder. "This heat is what I remember of the warmth brought by my father's greatest possession—The Eternal Flame."
His gaze reached the land below the light as he rested over the edge of a sharp cliff.
Alive.
Abundant.
The vast plains surrounded by the valley they are situated in, lush greens and creatures resembling cattle roam tall and proud, twice the height of Thor. Their calves chasing about, the grown-ups grazing upon the meadow of different flora and colors.
Like a blanket, the snow envelopes the far right of the brilliant light. The land that rises, filled with its own life, and on the left of its periphery, woods and forests selfishly occupy the majority of the land, allowing a few streams and falls to escape the locked ice on the towering walls extending up to the cloud-filled ceiling of the cave-country. Thor can't help but admire the paradise, "Fascinating this land is."
Thor rises, eyes locked on the light, "Asgard, I will come to your rescue." He breathed firmly, decisively he spoke. "Death has failed to claim the life of mine that clings to its sole, righteous purpose, to save those who call for the name of your savior." Bound in his will, his fist subconsciously tightens. "And if Valhalla will claim this proud life of mine, I must offer it in battle, as the songs of war echo and the flames of determination ignite. For Asgard."
He decided to head back to the cave but the pocket of his sweater started vibrating, "The apparatus Bulls have left." After he rests it on his palm, the voice of an individual sounds.
"Sir... do... c - copy?"
"Who is speaking?" Thor responds to the static words.
"This... Guar... dian." Zooming winds drowned the voice on the other line. "Thor... where... is... Sir?"
"You mechanical bastard, you are alive!" His voice filled with joy. "Forgive me but I cannot apprehend you as such information requires to be discussed physically." Thor rushes towards the direction from which where Bulls left. Surely, Bulls must not be coming back soon. "But your master left for an important matter."
"Why now?!" An explosion blasts over the call. Immediately after, Guardian's line goes clear, "Tell this to him... first, the Franzian Armed Forces were on our tail all this time, since we reached this Continent..."
"To make things worse... they are looking for you. They're raiding the forest looking for... you. Your arrival on Earth... they see you as a world-ending threat, Thor."
"And Lastly... if... I... survived... this... I want you to... tell my master that... I badly wanted an upgrade... so please... continue the journey and..." He exclaimed in his static, mechanical voice. "Wait for me–"
CRSHHHSKKRR! CRSHHHSKKRR!
A loud static noise cracked. Guardian disconnected. A sense of unease filled Thor's chest, his eyes filled with anxiety, reflection of everything that had happened rushed back to his subconscious. "Have I been so selfish? That my presence bring destruction to wherever I plant my feet?" He sighs, "The train, Old man Oswald's country, to Jessica and her city... everywhere."
"Had I not failed to defeat Asgard's doom, I would not have caused chaos in another world." Thor's world began to turn, the edges of his eyes began turning dark, sweat dashing a line on his face, and the next second, he fell on his knees, hands pushing against the cold dirt. "My pursuit of Asgard's salvation brought devastation to another realm and I call myself a savior?"
