"Through the course of history, legends have been known throughout the world. Most of them are just made up by bored sailors wandering at sea and some of them are real. One of them is the Legend of Atlantis, a city deep below the seabed, made of prismarine and shining like a pearl exposed to bright sunlight, built tough for any kind of disastrous event." The broadcaster spoke over the radio on the counter.
"They are inhabited by sea-dwelling creatures known as Atlantians, the Men of the Sea, known to possess the power of the sea, have the ability to breathe underwater and swim as fast as the fastest fish of the vast ocean."
"Is this the story of the week? How boring." One of the customers complains.
"Even worse than last week's," another one bangs the table. "Shut it down! Replace it with something else!"
But as the woman by the counter reached for the radio, another customer sat in front of her and reached for her hand, "No, please, I wanna hear it. And a cup of coffee please, black." He sits.
"The Atlantians remained as legends, stories for children, included in the lectures in the villages the lies nearby the seas. These stories were passed from generation to generation, from the elderly to children, and nothing proved their existence until eight hundred years ago, when they surfaced and humbly introduced themselves to the world. The beings that were once worshipped as Gods became good friends with the humans of the surface world, and became allies of peace and order. This advanced country led the primitive humans towards the advancement they needed in the first place. They traded goods with them, shared technologies, and enlightened the world with vast amounts of knowledge, as deep as the deepest ocean trench and as wide as the endless seas. The two species lived side by side and even fought alongside each other during the Great World War."
The man listens intently under his black hood.
"Everything was peaceful, perfect, and quiet, until eight decades ago, the Great City of Atlantis mysteriously disappeared, including most of its inhabitants. The only ones left were those Atlantians who chose to live on the surface. The disappearance of the 'Great City of Atlantis' is still a mystery, human historians and archaeologists have tried their very best to know the truth and to answer what, why, and how it happened."
"The search for the 'Lost City' continues, up until today, for the hopes that it could give answers to the questions that still confuse the world and for the hopes that it could help them save the Atlantians' endangered race."
"Now my dear listeners, this story came from the west coast of Centaria, Bay of Estuaria, in a hidden village deep in the rainforest named Tiago, where the last population of Atlantians in the world lived."
"No one believes those stories, they're all made up!" A man shouts from the far side of the room.
"The whole tribe has lived in the wilderness of Estuaria for more than a hundred and fifty years. Seventy years before the disappearance of Atlantis, a small group of trade–bearing Atlantians surfaced and traded with the Estuarian Humans. Some remained true to their duty and went back to their land, but a small population remained above the surface and settled in the depths of the Estuarian Rainforest. They adapted to the environment where they are currently living, an advantage that saved their lives as well as their species."
"After the disappearance of their former Kingdom and the other Atlantians, their tribe became the last known population of Atlantians, less than two hundred remained. The pressure on their species inevitably increased as humans started to claim their sacred lands as their own. This caused conflicts between the two races that resulted in countless deaths among the endangered Atlantians."
"What's the name of the program?" The man in the hood asked.
"Centaria's Myths." The woman answers nervously. "No one knows who the person behind the voice is, ever since I started working here, the radio program has already existed.
