Sunlight streamed into the room as Kritika squinted her eyes, gradually adjusting to her surroundings. She rose from the floor where she had slept last night and headed towards the washroom.

Looking at the mirror, she burst into tears, the pain overwhelming her as she realized her dreams had finally shattered.

After splashing some water on her face, she stepped out of the room. Grabbing her clutch, she walked outside, only to confront Aditya.

"I...I am..." His words faltered as she raised her hand to stop him.

"No need to say anything. Last night was enough for me. I...I understand everything now. I won't disturb you anymore. Just give me the divorce papers; I'll sign them and free us from this unwanted relationship," Kritika said in a groggy tone, leaving Aditya stunned.

She walked past him, but Aditya grabbed her wrist, pulling her into his chest. Without warning, he hugged her tightly, burying his face in the crook of her neck.

"I'm sorry, Kritika. Sorry for everything. Please don't leave me," Aditya said in a shaky voice. Kritika closed her eyes and pushed him away.

"Aditya, stop this act. Why are you doing this? What benefit do you get from it?" Kritika yelled, tears streaming down her face.

Aditya cupped her cheeks, forcing her to face him.

"Kritika, last night...last night I got drunk, and I poured all my frustration on you. But believe me, the things I said were because of the alcohol; they didn't come from my heart," Aditya said, caressing her cheeks, his own eyes filled with tears.

"Please don't leave me. You know I was broken because of my past, but you gave me a new ray of hope. I need you, Kriti. I need you beside me. Please don't leave me," he pleaded, breaking down completely.

Kritika hugged him tightly, unable to bear his condition.

"Aditya...shhh...stop crying," she cooed, rubbing his back.

"You won't leave me, right?" Aditya asked like a child, making her smile.

"No, I won't," Kritika said sincerely, knowing his vulnerability. He needed someone to love and care for him wholeheartedly, and Kritika vowed to be that person. Kritika broke the hug and wiped his tears with her thumb.

"Don't cry. You look like an ugly duck," she said, chuckling, which made him laugh.

"Thank you," he said, hugging her once more.

"Let's go. Everyone must be waiting for us," Kritika said. Aditya smiled and nodded.---"Oh Adi, where were you? You scared us so much," Swetha said, hugging him. Kritika smiled, standing beside him.

"I'm fine, Ma. Kritika was with me," Aditya said, looking at Kritika with a beautiful smile that melted her heart.

"Oh, beta, thank you so much," Swetha said, touching Kritika's shoulder.

"You both go and freshen up," Janaki said.

"Ahana, I need to talk to you urgently," Kritika said. Aditya narrowed his eyes at her.

"Are you trying to escape from me?" Aditya whispered, lightly kissing her earlobe. Kritika blushed and pushed him away.

"Adi, this is not our room," Kritika mumbled.

"Ahana, let's go," Kritika said, dragging her to the kitchen.

"What's the matter?" Ahana asked.

"I need your help," Kritika said hesitantly.

"What help?"

"Well, I was thinking of giving Aditya a surprise," Kritika said.

"You mean..."

"Yes, I want to pour my heart out to him," Kritika stated.

"Oh my god, I'm so happy!" Ahana squealed, hugging her.

"Ahana, be quiet. Someone might hear us," Kritika said, lightly covering Ahana's mouth.

"Okay, sorry. So what should I do?" Ahana asked curiously.

"So, the thing is...

Aditya was searching for Kritika. He entered the room and his eyes fell on the bed where a suit and a letter were laid out.

"Wear this and come to the pool area. I will be waiting for you," the note read. Aditya shrugged and went to the washroom to change.

He emerged wearing the suit Kritika had selected. After a final check, he headed outside. Running down the stairs, he rushed to the backyard and was surprised.

The pool area was adorned with flower beds, probably roses, and lights decorated the ground.

Suddenly, a figure emerged from the darkness. Aditya gasped in shock as he saw Kritika standing before him in a red saree.

She smiled and took his hand, leading him to a spot filled with flowers.
