FLASHBACK

A few years ago

We had just finished school and joined a part-time job as admins at our institute.

It was beautiful.

Seeing each other in the morning being together for 5 hours a day every day.

It was a thrill to work with your best friend and your lover.

Each day was beautiful.

We would be around each other all the time sharing workload, checking work and test papers having lunch and talking to our favourite teachers every day.

It was like a dream.

But that one day will remain engraved in my brain forever.

One day
Narmeen asked me to pick her up.
Generally, we would take our own vehicles but that day she seemed low.
I picked her up and she hugged me all the way resting her head on my shoulder.

I was worried now.
She was not clingy. only  was when she wasn't ok.
I sensed something was wrong and held her hand all the way to work.

When we reached,

I cupped her face and asked
"Su thayu,(what happened) why are you being this way. nightmare hmm?"
She nodded as tears leaked from her eyes
I wiped her tears with my  handkerchief and hugged her kissing her on the nose.

"Go home if you don't feel good, Narmeen. I'll handle everything here" I said to her softly.
" no I don't wanna go home". She said weekly.

As the day went on and hours passed she became more distant and lost.

Around 12 in the noon.
Vaish Sir came and noticed she was off.
All the teachers had doubts we were dating and few of them knew too.

He asked me pointing his eyes towards her and raising his eyebrow asking what was up with her today.

I shakes my head cause I don't know the full resins just the nightmare.

He nodded and told me to go have our lunch he would handle for a while.

He was our favourite.
Kind consideration and caring.

I got us some rolls from the cafeteria and we sat on my vehicle under the tree having some moments of peace.

I fed her and hugged her assuring her that it was just a dream and it would be ok.

She cried a bit in my arms and I wiped her tears away as my eyes also welled up seeing her cry.

She returned to normal after a few minutes and I relaxed too as I was worried for her
