The next morning's sunlight gently streamed into the Uchiha residence. Sarada slept in Boruto's arms, her body curled into his as he slept deeply beside her."Ngh... Boruto... wake up..." Sarada slowly opened her eyes, squinting at the brightness and glancing at Boruto, who remained deeply asleep.
"Saradaaaa... you're too loud!" Boruto grumbled, opening one eye to glance at Sarada, who was pointing towards the clock.
"Oh no! It's already 9 AM!" Sarada exclaimed, realizing she had overslept. "Boruto, move!" she said, frustrated, as she tried to wriggle out of his embrace.
"Mmm... it's still early," Boruto mumbled, pulling Sarada back into his arms. "Just a few more minutes."
"I need to meet up with Sumire today," Sarada insisted, finally shrugging off his arm and sitting up. She reached for her glasses on the nightstand.
"Okay, okay," Boruto sighed, letting her go but still half-asleep. "I'm going to shower," Sarada announced, standing up and stretching.
Before she could take a step, Boruto reached out and pulled her back into his arms. "Mmm," he mumbled contentedly, nuzzling into her shoulder.
"What was that?" Sarada chuckled softly, raising an eyebrow at him.
"Class rep can wait," Boruto murmured, pulling her closer against his chest.
Sarada sighed, a smile playing on her lips. "Boruto, I really need to get ready," she said, kissing him gently on the cheek before sitting up once again.
"We'll talk when I get home, okay?" she asked, looking back at him as she stood up.
"Where are you going?" Boruto said, sitting up and rubbing his eyes as he watched his girlfriend walk towards the door.
"To shower," she replied, exhaling sharply.
"Can I come?" Boruto asked with a mischievous grin.
"HUH!?" Sarada turned around, her cheeks flushing a bright red.
"I'm kidding, I'm kidding," Boruto laughed, falling back onto the bed. "But seriously, hurry back. I'll miss you."
Sarada rolled her eyes, unable to suppress her smile. "I'll be quick," she promised, disappearing into the bathroom.
Boruto lay back, staring at the ceiling, feeling a warmth in his chest. Despite their busy lives and the missions they faced, moments like these reminded him of the simple joys of being together. He listened to the sound of the shower running and closed his eyes, savoring the peaceful morning.
When Sarada returned, she found Boruto still lounging in bed, a lazy smile on his face. "You really should get up, you know," she teased, drying her hair with a towel.
"Yeah, yeah," Boruto said, finally sitting up.
"Can we do something today?"Sarada laughed, shaking her head. "We can, but I still have to meet Sumire. I'll be back before you know it."
"Promise?" Boruto asked, holding out his pinky finger.
"Promise," Sarada said, linking her pinky with his. "Now get up and do something productive while I'm gone."
Boruto groaned but smiled, watching Sarada finish getting ready. As she headed out the door, she blew him a kiss. "See you later, lazybones."
"Bye, Sarada," Boruto called after her, already missing her presence.
With Sarada gone, Boruto finally got out of bed, stretching and yawning. He knew he had things to do, but the lingering warmth from their morning together stayed with him. He couldn't wait for her to come back so they could spend the rest of the day together, enjoying the rare moments of peace and happiness that their lives as shinobi allowed.
