"Huh... this presence," Sarada muttered, rubbing the tip of her chin as she sensed an oddly familiar chakra signature. Before she could draw any conclusions, her mother called out to her.
"This chakra—it's Kawaki!" Sarada gasped, her eyes widening in realization.
"Kawaki?" Sakura asked, her concern evident.
"Stay quiet and stay here," Sarada instructed firmly as she made her way downstairs, her steps quick and determined.
"Where's Papa?" she whispered quietly.
"Your father left a while ago. What's Boruto doing—" Sakura began, but the knocking on the door grew intense, cutting her off.
"Let me handle this, Mama," Sarada exhaled sharply, steeling herself before unlocking the door. Standing there was Kawaki, emanating a cold-hearted aura that sent a shiver down her spine.
"What's wrong with you?" Sarada exclaimed, her eyes narrowing in suspicion.
"Come with me right now," Kawaki growled, his tone leaving no room for argument.
"You don't get to order me around," Sarada scoffed, her defiance clear.
Kawaki's eyes darkened, and his expression twisted with anger. "I'm serious, Sarada. This is important."
"Important? Important to whom? You?" Sarada retorted, crossing her arms defiantly.
"To everyone. Especially Boruto," Kawaki snapped back, stepping closer, his presence imposing.
"What about Boruto?" Sarada demanded, refusing to back down.
"I'm going to find him and kill him," Kawaki stated coldly, his eyes burning with intensity.
Sarada's heart skipped a beat, her anger flaring. "You'll have to get past me first," she declared, her voice steady and unwavering.
"You're standing in my way, Sarada," Kawaki warned, his hands clenching into fists.
"And I won't let you harm him," Sarada shot back, her own fists tightening in response.
The tension between them crackled in the air, the imminent clash almost palpable. Just as they seemed ready to leap at each other, a small but firm voice interrupted them.
"Stop it!" Himawari stepped between them, her arms outstretched. "You two need to calm down."
"Himawari, stay out of this," Kawaki growled, his eyes still locked onto Sarada.
"No, I won't. This fighting won't solve anything," Himawari insisted, her blue eyes filled with determination.
"Kawaki, you don't have to do this," Himawari continued, her voice softer now.
"We can find another way."
Kawaki's hardened expression faltered, and he glanced at Himawari, her plea piercing through his anger. Sarada's resolve also wavered, seeing the younger girl standing bravely between them.
"Kawaki, I had high hopes for you," Sarada said sadly, deactivating her Sharingan.
"But you lost my respect ever since you showed your true face."
"If I am the bad guy, let it be. I'm doing this for the betterm—"
"Betterment of who!? OF WHO!?" she shouted, punching the ground with such force that the earth trembled and split beneath her.
"Sorry, Hima," she said, dusting off her jacket.
"It's okay," Himawari replied softly.
