33. Missing

Pov. Kai

After the storm calmed down everyone except Y/n and Lloyd met up on the bridge near the screens. Nya typed something on the keyboard and looked at us

"Okey now that the storm calmed down we can see the stability of the ship- anyone found any broken parts?" She asked, everyone shook their  head

"Zane how's the fuel?" She asked while looking at our nindroid

"After calculating the flight here and back I'd say we have fuel that will last three trips like that plus additional fuel for emergencies" Zane said. Nya nodded

I looked around. Something isn't right… It's like something is telling me that somebody is missing… or maybe I'm just imagining things…?

"Kai!" Nya's voice snapped me back out of my thoughts. I looked at her with an embarrassing smile

"You were saying something sis?" I said quietly which made Nya shake her head. "I asked you if you checked the busters-" she repeated. I nodded quickly

"Yeah I did, they aren't broken or anything- 100% working…" I said. She nodded.

"Alright then… Jay did you check the generator to see if the cooling system is working? I don't wanna make the same mistake again-" She said and looked at the blue ninja. He nodded "I added some a few minutes ago because there wasn't much so it should work-" he said

"Okey, Cole did you check the masts? Are they alright? Or do we need to repair them?" Nya asked Cole. He looked at her with a sheepish face. "Hehe… I'm going to check that right now…" He said and quickly walked out. Nya sighed quietly

"Alright while Cole is checking the mast- Pixal is the lower deck clear of anything broken??" Sis asked, Pixal nodded. "Everything is clear, no signs of holes or broken parts." Android said with a smile and went back to clicking something on the keyboard.

Finally after a few minutes Cole came back. "Alright masts are clear! Sorry that you guys had to wait-" Cole said with an embarrassment. Nya nodded. "It's alright, then if everything is set I guess we can continue-" Nya said and everyone nodded. Then it clicked in my head.

"Guys where is the Princess?" I asked. Everyone looked at me and then at themselves. "She's probably with Lloyd in their room already-" Jay replied. I have a bad feeling about it… I didn't see her since she offered help when the storm started…

"I'm gonna go check on them… see if they need anything-" I stated and got off the bridge before walking inside towards their room. The hallway was empty and quiet… it was too quiet… I opened the door to see an empty bed. They're gone… what?! They couldn't just disappear!

I closed the door and ran back to the bridge while additionally checking other rooms. Once I got outside and hopped onto the bridge with a slightly panicked face everyone looked at me weird. "Dude you're alright?" Cole asked. I shook my head. "They're gone!" I said a bit louder. Nya looked at me confused. "What? Who's gone? What are you on about?" She asked

"Lloyd and Princess are gone, they're not in the room or any other room along the way!" I said. Everyone became alarmed. "That's not good- alright everyone look around! Pixal and Zane you two check the lower deck where the generator is. Jay you and I will check outside. Kai, you and Cole check the rooms again. Go!" Nya said and everyone nodded. I quickly went back to the hallway with our rooms and the kitchen with Cole and started looking around.

First the kitchen: Nothing.
Jay's room: Nothing
Nya's and Pixal's room: nothing
Cole's room: nothing
Zane's room: Nothing
My room: Also nothing

Lastly we checked their room. The only thing there was a messy bed. It looked like someone just got up from it. Suddenly we heard my sister's voice through the comms.
"Everyone on the bridge now!" I looked at Cole with a worried gaze. He nodded and we bolted to the bridge. We were the last ones there except Zane.

"Nya did you find them?" I asked with hope, but when I saw a piece of green material in her hand something in me broke. "Is that Lloyd's?" I asked quietly. Nya nodded. "Where did you find it?" I asked again. Nya took a deep breath. "It was stuck on the railings outside… I want to see if the camera got anything…" she said. Pixal was typing on the keyboard and soon enough the screen lit up with the sight from the camera. She moved back the time to see what happened.

"Alright Pixal stop her- I can see Y/n-" Nay said. Pixal hit play. We saw the Princess struggling with a rope of the mast. Lloyd walked out soon after. "What was he doing??? He's too weak to move!" Jay said with a worried tone. We saw Y/n yelling to Lloyd something when the ship tripped. Lloyd tried to stay up but he tripped and fell overboard. We gasped when we saw this.

"He fell overboard?!" Nya yelled. We then saw Y/n running up to the railings and jumping in after Lloyd. "Pixal speed things up-" I said to her. She nodded and sped it up. "They didn't show up afterwards…" Cole said quietly. "What do we do know?" Jay asked, noone knew what to do when suddenly Zane spoke up startling us. "We go to the island. We're pretty close to it already. There's a high possibility that they landed on the shore." Zane said holding one of Y/n's maps. Nya nodded and turned the engine before setting autopilot on the coordinates of the Island.

**A few minutes later**

I was sitting on my bed starring at the pictures frame from my childhood. In the picture was me with the worst hair cut I could imagine, I was holding Nya in my arms and next to me was a year older boy with black hair and beautiful purple eyes… I looked at my door when they opened. Nya walked in and sat down next to me

"What are you doing Kai?" She asked softly. I just looked at the picture again. "You know… just thinking about outlr childhood… when everything was alright…" I said softly. Nya looked at the picture and sighed. "Where do you think he is now?" She asked. "No idea… I just hope he's still alive… I promised him that I'll protect him and now I don't even know what happened…" I said quietly my voice cracked slightly.

"I'm sure we'll meet him again… you just need to wait a little more… Mike was always stronger than he looked… you'll see-" She said and hugged me. I smiled and hugged her back. "You're right… he's stronger…" I agreed. Nya stood up and looked at me. "Dinner will be in 20 minutes, don't be late or else Cole will eat everything-" she said with a soft chuckle and left. I smiled and stood up before stretching up. I looked at the picture again with a more confident smile and left the room.
