"You sure we're going the right way?" I asked when once again slammed my head against the tree branch

"I have no idea- I never knew there even is a sacred temple- but my gut is telling me it's the right way-" She said softly. I looked at her dumbfounded and sighed quietly

"You know- so much has happened since I became a ninja that I'm not even gonna question it-" I said softly while following her. She looked at me a bit worried and I chuckled "Don't worry- let's just get to that temple and go back- or else the others will kill me" I said with a smirk. She nodded and resumed walking

After some time Y/n started talking about her love to animals and especially cats, I never even thought that there's so many races of them- it kinda reminds me of Mike and his love for cats, he even got his parents to buy his two small kittens... both black with small white spot in a shape of a heart on their heads... and then year after he just disappeared... Me and Nya promised his parents that we're gonna take care of the cats and find Mike but so far it's been a month and nothing was found. Zero traces. How can 19yo boy just disappear into fin air? I looked up to see Y/n still walking with her head down straight into a wall. Before she slammed her head into it I quickly put my hand between. She stopped and looked up.

"Oh- sorry I got ahead of myself by talking-" She said quietly. I shook my head "It's alright Princess- but it looks like we're here- just need to find an entrance-" I said and we circled the temple which looked pretty small. The dense jungle parted to reveal the entrance of the sacred temple, its stone facade covered in intricate carvings of ancient legends and mystical symbols. Y/n stood next to me.

"Okey we found the entrance-" I said and liked at Y/n "You ready?" I asked her. She looked at me and shook her head

"Not even a bit." Y/n answered and opened the door. I was right behind her. The room was pitch black so I lit my hand and sent little flames to the torches attached to the walls. The room was instantly bright. The walls were covered with paintings of strange creatures and very familiar three masks. Those were the Oni.

"No fucking way-" I said quietly making Y/n turn to me "What's wrong?" She asked a little worried "This must be one of the Oni temples... I thought they had only one..." I answered quietly, Y/n looked at me confused "What's an Oni?" She asked, I froze. The fact was that we didn't really know what Oni were except that it's just pure destruction... "Creatures of destruction, but don't worry They're not here anymore- well except Garmadon-" I responded. She nodded in relief and walked up to a set of doors it had a puzzle piece on them. She walked in, me following her, there were three puzzles that looked so complicated...

"What are those??" I asked, looking at a strange crimson ball. She looked at me and walked up "That's a crimson eye- it's used as a more expensive changer to a rubin-" she replied picking it up she looked around and put it in a circle shape hole that was missing a piece. She then proceeded to solve all three puzzles without much thought. I looked at her dumbfounded "how on earth did you do that? Even Zane would need more time!" I said and walked up to her and the now open doors, she shrugged "My mom and I would play with that kind of games when I was little-" she answered and we went in.

I stopped Y/n just in time to an arrow flew right in front of our faces. She looked down and realised that she had stepped on a pressure plate "woops- sorry-" she said and took her leg off of it "whole room is filled with traps..." I said after examining the room. Y/n hid behind me scared to move. "Don't worry- we just have to not step on any pressure plate and we'll be fine-" I said and she nodded

Soon enough we were done and Y/n pulled a lever opening the third door I looked around before some weird vein caught my leg and suddenly pulled me up making me yelp.
