38. Will this plan work...?

I was sitting on the marble floor when Yuki came in again, he looked... tired... like he hadn't slept for long- he walked up to me with a glare

"I'll give you a choice. Be with me or I'll kill Lloyd."
He said tiredly, I froze and looked at him with wide eyes

"What...?" I said quietly, I didn't know if he was bluffing or serious.

"You heard me princess. Be with me. Or he'll die." He said and snapped his fingers. Suddenly Lloyd appeared near us, in a glass box. I looked at him nervously. Yuki grabbed my chin and made me look at him.

"Choose." He said tiredly. I froze slightly. What if Yuki wasn't bluffing??

"How can I know that that's a real Lloyd..." I said quietly. Yuki rolled his eyes and used the spell to pull the glass cage closer. I walked up to it and looked at Lloyd who was trying to get the binds off

"You can't hear him" Yuki said. I knocked on the glass to get Lloyd's attention. He looked at me and his eyes lit up slightly, right then I knew that was my Lloyd. The real one. I looked at Yuki with nervousness

"Come on Princess. It's time to choose. Be with me or he'll die." Yuki said, I could hear Lloyd's banging on the glass, probably yelling at me not to do it. I looke at him and sure enough his eyes were wide, he was screaming and banging on the glass. I was thinking if I should just say yes or no.

"Time's up." Yuki said and snapped his fingers, my eyes went wide as I looked back at Lloyd. He started choking.

"What are you doing????" I asked with terrified expression and looked at the vampire. Yuki smirked and shrugged "I took out all the air ou of the box" He replied. My eyes widened even more as I looked at Lloyd who was going pale as light. I tried to break the glass but nothing worked.

"OKEY- OKEY STOP IT! I'LL BE WITH YOU!" I screamed in Yuki's direction. He smirked and made the box disappear. I quickly moved to Lloyd and caught him before he fell. I held him close and tried to wake him up. But that was interrupted when Yuki snapped his fingers and Lloyd disappeared out of my arms. I looked at the vampire

"Where did you take him???" I asked worriedly but Yuki dismissed me by swaying his hand

"He's back in his cell stop being so emotional."

Yuki crossed his arms and watched me with a faint smirk as if my panic was amusing to him. I stood there, frozen for a moment, trying to process everything that had just happened. Lloyd... he was gone, and I had no idea if he was safe or even alive.

"You're cruel," I whispered, standing up from the floor, my voice trembling. I could still feel Lloyd's warmth fading from my arms, the weight of the decision hanging heavily on my chest. "What do you even gain from this, Yuki? You already know I don't want to be with you."

Yuki's expression darkened for a moment before he sighed, rubbing his forehead as if the whole situation was just tiring to him. "It's not about what you want. It's about control. You'll learn to appreciate what I offer."

I clenched my fists, anger boiling beneath my skin, but I couldn't risk provoking him any further. Not when Lloyd's life hung in the balance.

"So what now?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady. "I said I'd be with you. Isn't that what you wanted?"

Yuki took a step closer, and I instinctively flinched. His cold fingers traced along my jawline, tilting my head up so I was forced to meet his eyes.

"Now, princess, you stay by my side. You'll learn what it means to be mine," he murmured, his tone eerily calm. "And if you even think about running or defying me, I won't hesitate to finish what I started with your precious Lloyd."

Tears stung the corners of my eyes, but I blinked them away, refusing to let Yuki see my weakness. I nodded slowly, knowing that, for now, I had no other choice.

Yuki smiled, though there was no warmth in it. "Good girl." He released my chin and turned, walking towards the door. "Your room is prepared. I'll come for you later."

As he left, the door closing with a soft click, I collapsed to the floor again, my heart pounding in my chest. I had made my choice, but it felt like I had just sold my soul to a monster. And Lloyd... I didn't know how to save him, or even if I could.

But one thing was certain: I wouldn't give up. Not yet. The plan needs to work...
