Chapter - 23

Lisa's Pov:

Mom, Dad, and Unnie went back to the mansion, and I told them I would stay here. I don't know why, but Dad agreed. The doctor said Jennie would be discharged in the morning.

I don't know why, but Jennie hasn't even looked at me or said a single word. He's lying on the bed, facing the other side with his eyes closed.

I went to the other side of the bed and noticed Jennie was pretending to sleep. I fake coughed and said, "What's going on? Why are you ignoring me?"

Jennie opened his eyes, looked at me, and then closed them again without saying anything. I don't know why, but it hurt me.

I pulled the blanket off Jennie and lay down next to him. I then covered both of us with the blanket and hugged him tightly. I asked, "Why are you ignoring me?"

"Please, go sleep on the couch," Jennie said. I looked up at his face, which was now looking at me. I gave him a sad puppy-eye look and asked, "Why?"

Jennie didn't respond, so I asked, "Are you mad at me?"

"Why would I be mad at you?" Jennie asked. I got up and sat on top of Jennie quickly, then asked, "So why can't I sleep here?"

"Because if your dear Sehun finds out, he won't like it," Jennie said with anger in his voice. But why? Don't tell me he saw me with Sehun. Then I asked, "And why would it bother him?"

"Because..." he trailed off. I raised an eyebrow, and then he continued, "First, tell me why you lied to me."

"What lie are you talking about? tell me," I asked.

"I told you not to meet Sehun, but today you lied to me about meeting a friend and went to see him. You even hugged him, and he kissed your neck, and you didn't say anything?" Jennie said angrily. Now I understood why Jennie was ignoring me.

"I'm sorry. I didn't tell you because I thought you'd get jealous. But I didn't lie; he's just a friend," I said, but Jennie turned his face to the other side. I leaned down to his ear and said, "I went to tell him to stop courting me because I found my true love."

Jennie quickly turned his face towards me, and our lips were very close. I kissed him, but he didn't kiss back. I broke the kiss and asked, "What's wrong? Why didn't you kiss me back?"

"Who is your true love?" he asked in a jealous tone. Oh God, as handsome as he is, he can be just as dumb. I rolled my eyes.

"Kim, is that even a question? Of course, it's you. But you haven't asked me to be your girlfriend yet," I said and looked away. I heard Jennie chuckle. Oh my God, how can his mood change so quickly? He was mad just a moment ago, and now he's chuckling.

"Sorry, I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions so quickly. I thought you didn't love me, but you know I'm very emotionally sensitive." He then kissed my cheek and held my waist with both hands. I blushed and faced him.

"I love you so much. Please never leave me," he said. I nuzzled my face into his neck and said, "I love you too, and I'll never leave you, so don't ever think that."

I lay on top of Jennie, and he hugged me, then kissed my forehead. Jennie always makes me feel so special.

"I've loved you since childhood, but I never told you. You've always felt like mine since we were kids. I used to play pranks on you, and everyone thought we are enemies, but I never wanted to admit that I couldn't live without you. So I'll just say this: I don't know if it's rivalry or love, but whatever it is, it's only with you. Lili, will you be your handsome enemy's girlfriend? Will you be the mother of my future children and my future wife?" Jennie said.

I'm incredibly happy that he finally asked me to be his girlfriend. But really, who asks while lying in a hospital bed with me lying on top of him? Only Jennie Kim could do that.

I looked up at Jennie, smiled, and said, "Of course, I'll be your girlfriend."

3rd Person POV:

When Lisa said yes to being his girlfriend, Jennie was overjoyed. He grabbed Lisa by the neck, crashing their mouths together, and they kissed passionately.

They were so engrossed in their kiss that they didn't notice the door opening. Seul and Jisoo walked in and were stunned by the sight. Just a few weeks ago, these two were enemies, and now they were making out as if there were no tomorrow.

Seul looked at Jisoo with a shocked expression and asked, "Are we dreaming? Jennie and Lisa are kissing?"

Jisoo, equally shocked, replied, "I don't think this is a dream, but it could be. Either way, it's a great dream. They make a cute couple."

When Jennie and Lisa heard the voices, they quickly broke the kiss and looked toward the door. Seul and Jisoo were standing there, shocked. Lisa felt extremely embarrassed and rushed to the washroom. Jennie, also embarrassed, smiled awkwardly and said, "Hi, guys."

"Hi, buddy," Seul said, walking over and sitting on the side of the bed. He asked, "Since when have you two been in a relationship?"

Jisoo came over, sat on the other side of the bed, and said, "I think it started when they got lost on that island?"

Jennie gulped and said, "Guys, it's not like that. I'll explain everything later. But first, why are you two here right now?"

"Irene told me about you, and then I told Jisoo. We know you don't like staying in the hospital, so we came to sneak you out. But it looks like you're having a good time here with the queen bee," Seul said.

"First, tell us if you're okay now," Jisoo added.

"I'm fine. I'll be discharged in the morning. It's just one night, and this hospital belongs to uncle. They won't let me leave easily. And Lili is here, so I can't go," Jennie explained.

"Oh, so you've already got a pet name for her," Seul teased.

Jennie lightly slapped Seul's arm and said, "Shut up. Now, both of you leave. We'll talk tomorrow at college. And don't you dare tell anyone about this."

Jisoo and Seul gulped, then Jisoo said, "Okay, we're leaving. But you have to explain everything tomorrow."

Jennie rolled his eyes and said, "Okay, now go."

Jisoo and Seul said good night, teased him a bit more, and then left. Once they were gone, Jennie called out, "Babe, come out now. They're gone."

Lisa came out of the washroom, walked over to Jennie, and lay down beside him, hugging him. She whispered in his ear, "I love you, my king."

Jennie blushed at the words 'my King 👑,'  hugged her back, and said, "I love you too, my queen."

Lisa giggled, kissed Jennie on the cheek, and said, "Good night, love."

Jennie kissed her on the forehead and replied, "Good night, babe." They hugged each other and fell asleep.
