I was walking home from school, feeling the chill of the autumn wind. But there was another chill, one that had nothing to do with the weather. My fists tensed up inside my pockets, and I quickened my pace, sensing something was off. The uneasy feeling hit me again, making me stop in my tracks and look around with a glare.

"Come on! Come the fuck out! Don't be a pussy!" I shouted into the emptiness, trying to shake off the feeling. But there was no one in sight. Just as I turned back around, a searing pain exploded in my stomach.

I doubled over, looking up to see Daichi smirking at me. "Payback, bitch," he snarled, shoving the knife deeper into my abdomen. Shock and agony washed over me as I saw my hands stained with my own blood. He pulled the knife out, and before I could react, Hiroshi kicked me in the same spot, sending me crashing to the ground with a groan.

"Fuck," I gasped, clutching my bleeding stomach. They stood over me, their taunts echoing in my ears.

"Not so powerful anymore, are you?" they sneered before walking off, leaving me to bleed out on the cold pavement. My mind kept screaming at me to get up, but I was losing too much blood. Darkness started to creep in at the edges of my vision.

Marinette's POV:

We were driving back to Kanami's place when I saw Hiroshi and Daichi walking out of a street, laughing with a bloody knife in their hands. My heart stopped.

"Kanami! Stop!" I shouted, making her shriek and slam on the brakes.

"What the heck!?" she yelled, but I was already out of the car and running down the street. My heart pounded in my chest as I saw them smirking and continuing on their way, completely unconcerned.

I ran down the street, my breath catching in my throat when I saw him. "Bakugou!" I dropped to my knees beside him, lifting his head onto my lap. His face was pale, and blood was everywhere.

"Bakugou! Wake up! Shit!" I fumbled for my phone with trembling hands, dialing 911. "Katsuki!?" Kanami ran over, tears streaming down her face.

"Stop the blood! Put something there! Fuck, he's already lost so much!" I shouted, pressing on the wound to stem the flow of blood while giving the emergency operator our location.

"Katsuki! You better fucking stay awake!" Kanami cried, pressing her hands over mine to help.

The ambulance arrived quickly, and we rushed to the hospital. The ride was a blur of sirens and flashing lights, with Kanami and I desperately trying to keep Bakugou conscious.

"Stay with us, Bakugou," I kept whispering, clutching his hand as the paramedics worked around us.

Once we arrived at the hospital, he was whisked away into surgery, leaving Kanami and me in the waiting room, hearts pounding and minds racing.

Hours passed, each one feeling like an eternity. Finally, a doctor approached us, his face grave.

"He's stable for now. The knife missed any major organs, but he lost a lot of blood. He's lucky to be alive."

Relief washed over us, but it was quickly replaced by anger. Kanami clenched her fists. "Those bastards," she muttered. "They'll pay for this."

We were allowed to see Bakugou once he was moved to a room. He looked fragile, hooked up to machines that beeped and whirred, but he was alive. I sat by his side, holding his hand.

"Hey, tough guy," I whispered. "You scared us."

He opened his eyes slightly, looking at me with a faint smile. "Couldn't let those assholes win," he murmured, his voice weak.
