I sit at the police station with Mrs.Kim and hold her hand with her head on my shoulder. I rub my thumb on the back of her hand as we both stare at the police officer desk in front of us, still absorbing what happened.

"Oh my god!"

We both turn around and I see Jennie standing there and holding Ella's hand. Our eyes lock before she moves them away quickly and runs over to Mrs.Kim as Ella runs over to me.

I hold in whatever hurt that caused and bring Ella into my lap to hug her tightly and to feel something secure.

"Oh Mrs.Kim! You are here!" Officer Derek says as he comes back.

I smile at him and Jennie turns from her mom to him and stands beside her, keeping a comforting hand on her shoulder.

I ignore the hurt still ripping through me and focus on Derek.

He turns to me and asks, "Please give me an account of everything. Anything that you can remember but it needs to be correct."

Then I tell him what happened.

***Flashback***

"If it's too much, you don't have to say anything, but may I ask what happened to your husband?"

Mrs.Kim chuckles. "It's okay Jisoo. It's an obvious question. I can't remember much but he was a difficult man to love."

I can see the family resemblance.

"Jennie was always very sweet. Very kind. Always caring about other people. She wouldn't hurt an ant. Then when she was 18...." Mrs.Kim frowns "Something happened. She changed completely. From 18 till when her dad died when she was 22, she slowly changed into a cold and hard woman. She became guarded but she was open to me. She didn't let anyone come close to her. I'm worried that she will be alone when I die and she will become depressed. I want her to be happy."

I nod slowly. "I understand."

She places her hand on my thigh and I stop at a red light to look at her. She smiles. "When I die, will you promise me that you will keep Jennie happy?"

I chuckle. "That depends on Jennie."

It's Mrs.Kim's turn to laugh as she pulls her hand away and the light turns green. "She likes you."

I smirk. "Oh really?"

Mrs.Kim nods. "She looks at you a lot when you aren't looking. I watch her. She likes you."

I sigh. How am I supposed to explain to Mrs.Kim that her daughter is just lusting after me?

I just nod. "Well....when your daughter seems me worthy enough to tell me her thoughts then I will consider it."

Mrs.Kim laughs and I keep smiling as I see a road block ahead. "Oh no..." I mutter. "I guess we'll have to take the rural path."

Mrs.Kim asks, "Will it take longer?"

I nod. "Yup. Unfortunately. Can you pull up the GPS on my phone?" I put in the password and hand it to her.

She finds the app and I say with a big smile, "You are good with technology?"

"You try having a short-tempered daughter yell at you in the middle of crazy driving and traffic," she mutters and I laugh.

She places a route and holds it for me to see. I take a few lefts and rights before I end up on a single lane road.
