The alarm rang.
I had only realised what I would be up for today as soon as I had woken up. I turned on my phone and unsurprisingly, there were multiple texts from Felix saying sorry. I still felt upset from the breakup - I'd wasted too much of my time on him.
There was also a text from Oscar. We'd only met for a few days, but still, he'd been friendly. I opened up our chat.
Oscar 🧡

Fine
Get readyReally, it felt weird texting him like he was my old friend. I yawned and stretched, while getting up and heading towards the toilet. I needed to be quick. I took a ten minute shower and dried my hair hastily, applying on some foundation and lipstick.
I wasn't sure what to wear to track. I had a few options: a white dress with sleeves that only reached my elbows, some short jeans and a light orange sleeveless crop top or a McLaren shirt tucked into some jeans.
I went with the second option, it only felt right. I also topped it off with tying my hair up into a ponytail and a McLaren cap. I shoved my phone into my handbag and waited patiently by the door.
Someone, I'd assumed, knocked on the door. I opened it. "Morning- oh." Oscar was at the door, as I'd guessed. His eyes trailed up and down my body.
"Piastri, up here," I snapped my fingers. He pursed his lips and mustered a light chuckle.
"Sorry, you look... nice," Oscar cleared his throat. "So. You said you wanted to eat at the track."
"I mean, it's really up to you," I said.
"Alright then, we'll eat with the team, it's a good thing to introduce you to the team as well." He reached into his pocket. "We should head down to the lobby now. I'll get the car ready and drive up to the front of the hotel, and you can just jump in."
"So I'll wait in the lobby?" I didn't feel safe being alone in an unknown place. But I needed to be fine with it.
"Yeah," Oscar pressed the two buttons which had '1' and '0' on them in the lift. We descended and I left the lift when we'd arrived to the lobby. I sat myself down on the sofas in the lobby.
"Olivia! Oh, there you are," I turned around. Fuck. Felix was running over to me. The blonde girl, who I'd saw yesterday with Felix, was behind him, sulking. Shit. I started to get up and prayed that Oscar had his car ready. "No! Don't go, I need to say something."
"Please, I need to go," I spent too much of my time on this man. I didn't want to see him again, I didn't want to face him and remember all the memories we created because of me. All the dates we went on were because I suggested them. He only asked me once.
