Work.
A few days had passed since the Australian Grand Prix. Everything had gone back to normal once again, and eventually the rumours of me and Oscar had disappeared. Well, until the Azerbaijan Grand Prix where everything would pop up again.
I returned to the bakery for work immediately on Tuesday, as I had still been on the plane on Monday with Allie. I had figured out what had happened. They'd talked a lot after getting each other's number, and Lando had paid for the quickest plane to Australia.
James had been freaking out. We had to explain to him that we weren't even dating the drivers. I later had met his girlfriend, but she'd left due to work problems.
It was twelve. I fixed my apron as James came out of the staff room, grinning while sliding his apron off. "You're really not going for a lunch break?"
"I'm not really hungry, honestly, I had a big breakfast," I admitted. "You going out with Michelle for lunch?"
"Yeah, to the nearest Maccies," He chuckled. "Allie's staying too, don't worry. I'll see you back at one."
"Yeah, see you," I headed off to the door and flipped the sign so it said 'closed' at the front. I got back to the staff room and grinned at Allie who laid down on the benches. "Comfortable much."
"I miss Lando," She groaned.
"I heard he came back to the UK for a break," I said. "He's coming to pick you up after work anyways. "You're lucky, he lives quite near us."
"We're talking about them like they're our boyfriends," She laughed. "Honestly, I miss him."
"Same, Allie, same," I sighed. Someone knocked on the front door of the bakery. "I'll get it. Probably James, might've forgotten something while being with Michelle."
"I'll be in here if anyone decides to break in," Allie smiled. I walked out and opened the door. A man, probably middle-aged, stood there, grinning. I had an idea who it was. He had a black cap on and a pair of sunglasses.
"It's no going to help you if you're trying to make the paps believe you're not who they think you are," I pulled him into the bakery and locked the door behind us. "You here to see Allie?"
"Is my disguise that bad?" Lando groaned and took his big coat off, including his cap and sunglasses.
"Sorry to say, but you are very much recognisable under these clothes," I sighed. "I'll get you to surprise Allie or something."
"Yeah," He grinned as I hung up his slightly wet clothes.
"It's not raining, how on earth did you get so wet?" I grumbled as some of the water droplets went onto my clothes.
"Well, let's just say I definitely wasn't being on my phone while walking and got distracted, then plunged straight into a public pool," Lando grinned widely, as I ran my fingers through his curly hair which was flattened now due to the water.
"Want anything to eat?" I asked.
"No. You can throw those clothes away if you want, just not my sunglasses. I picked up the cap and coat from somewhere off the streets," He chuckled. "Can I see her now?"
Typical. They weren't even dating. I nodded and pushed open the door. Allie looked up. "No one broke in or threatened you?"
"Actually, it's someone that wants to see you." I smiled as her eyes widened.
"Who would want to?" She frowned.
"Me!" Lando pushed me away and pulled her in for a hug.
"No way! How come- oh yeah. I did text you where I work," She chuckled. "This is really cool."
