"Going for a run?"
About three days after the trip to Birmingham, Liv was still tired out and laid at home for a rest. She glanced at the clock briefly before noticing Oscar's hurry to grab his trainers from the closet.
"Yeah. I'll be back in an hour or two," He said, opening the front door. "Need anything from the stores? Co-op, or Tesco's."
"Yeah. Get me a sandwich, won't you?" She said. "I'm starving today."
"Yeah. Help yourself to some food before I come back. Don't want you starving to death," Oscar said, stepping outside. "See you later. Love you."
"Love you too." Liv wasn't too bothered about him running off. She knew it was part of his exercising routine that his trainer had provided for him. He also went to the gym more often, as the Monaco Grand Prix neared.
She was told about the incident at Starbucks though, the girl Julia who'd forced herself into Oscar's barriers to try to get his number and so and so. "It's probably just a fan who doesn't know I exist." She told Oscar and made her decision clear.
Oscar wasn't too convinced with Liv's judgement, but took it in as she said it would be great to maybe make amends with her if he saw her again on the streets of Oxford when he went for a run. "It's good to make another friend, Oscar."
"I'm fine with my friends back home and on the grid," Oscar scowled. "Julia isn't the type of person you think she is, princess."
"I would care less. It's time to make at least one friend that actually lives close to us. I moved away, which means we're more further away from Liv," Liv rolled her eyes at him. "Julia's fine. Once you've made it clear where your boundaries are set, she'll be more friendly and aproachable."
Of course, Liv had her worries. After receiving multiple texts from Lando explaining he got drunk in a club and accidentally forgot about Allie in the UK, he took the girl home. Luckily, no intimacy was committed. She was scared Oscar would do the same thing. Saying he went out for a run but actually gone off to the club to have a fling with some girls.
He's not like Felix, she reminded herself, before getting up to make herself some cereal to hold off the hunger. On the other hand, Liv always had the thought of Allie crying to her on the phone saying she and Lando were on break.
"That asshole. I love him too much," Allie complained. "He suggested the break. Said we needed time away from each other. I said I'd forgive him as he was drunk, but Lando insisted. Said it was a punishment for himself. What he doesn't know is I suffering his punishment as well."
It was hard to explain to Allie what he wanted. Take a break from the person he'd loved the most as a punishment for betraying their trust and relationship. But at same time, when Lando thought the plan was working, what he didn't know was the other person was also suffering.
Oscar had received multiple calls from Lando saying he was heartbroken, this and that, and he deserved it. Oscar suggested talking. Serious conversations. Lando declined and said it was no use and that she'd ignore his calls anyways, considering the severity of the situation.
The Australian stepped inside the Co-op, and guess what. The only person at the till was no other than Julia. She flashed him an awkward grin before attending to her duties to scan the customer's items. Oscar cursed and went through the meal deals.
He finally sought out two meals less than the price of seven quid. He walked up to the counter, lifting his basket into Julia's hands. "Hey. Uh, I think our first meeting went a bit..."
