Thirteen years old and still as broken as the day I came here. Left alone in a room of my thoughts. The thoughts that intrude my head, making me wish it was all just a dream and when I wake up, I'll have a mom and dad who love me. Though, I know that shall never happen, I still wonder about it. Who shall I be if not me? I wish and wish but I know this corrosive and evil world should never let me know or acknowledge the fact that there is no one in this world that I could be if not me. I pray for another to take my place and let me live a life, any life, just not mine. Yet, I'm still here. Still wishing. Still praying. Still no answers to be received. If I were only loved. If someone loved me more than the monsters that took me, I wouldn't be here. I wouldn't have to fight to feel. Could nothing in this world give me peace? Could nobody give me worth? Oh, what a lonely world. But it's okay. I've learned to accept it. I learned to deal with it. I've learned to live a life of not living. Maybe one day I'll be fully used to it. To never living. To not being worthy of my own existe-

Damn. My thoughts were cut off by my favorite evil monster Baron von Strucker! How rude. Interrupted by a door slamming open, making me jump up.

"Stark!" He yelled, while barging through my room. Leaving a little light to creep in.

"Yes?" I sounded a bit annoyed. I mean what did he expect? He ruined my big speech.

"Where are the twins?" He was fuming.

"Umm," I looked around me. "Not in here," I shrugged my shoulders and sat back down on the cold, hard floor.

"Diola! This is a serious matter!" He continued to redden.

"Okay. Well, I seriously don't know what you're talking about," I gave a disgusted look at his constant yelling.

"You are to find them! We are to believe they are outside fighting the Avengers," he pointed out the door, directing me to leave.

"Wow, the Avengers are here? Do you think I could get an autograph?" I smirked at Strucker as I was leaving the room.

I walked down the long twisted hallways until I made it outside. I rolled my eyes at the sight of Captain America and Thor making some weird force when they hit their shield and hammer together. "Have to be so extra."

I made my way to Pietro Maximoff, one of the twins Strucker mentioned. He was much older than me, but we still got along. We hadn't spent much time together, but I knew he had super speed. He was cool and a good friend of mine.

"Dj, I was wondering if you were going to come," his thick accent came in my direction. We were ducking and hiding behind a few trees.

"Strucker made me come look for you and Wanda," I shrugged and ducked under a few blasts of weapons Hydra made. Wanda had similar powers to mine, but I was not allowed near her. I guess they thought we were going to blow up the place.

"Oh, are you going to join in on the fight?" He looked down at me, for I was a few inches shorter than him.

"Why not?" I ducked down and dusted my pants from the dirt and snow that got blown up.

"Wanna ride?"

"Nah. I'm good. Thanks," he nodded as he quickly ran off and I began walking to the fight between Captain America and a few soldiers.

I stood behind a tree and used my telekinesis. I let out a dark blue mist and it drew near Captain America as it grabbed his legs and pulled him down. My eyes glowed blue as I approached him.

"Oh my gosh! Is that- oh it is! Hey Cap," he gave me a glare as he struggled to get up. "Sorry. I meant," I cleared my throat and held my hand to my forehead in solute, "Mr. America."

"Stark! We have another enhanced," he got up and threw the shield to my stomach, which I caught.

"Hey now. I have a name," he tried retracting his shield, but I held on tight. "Let's start over. Hi, my name's Diola James or Dj, that's what my friends call me. Oh. Right, I don't have friends. And whose fault is that?" He looked confused as I threw his shield with all my strength back at him. It made him scoot back by the force of my throw.

"Well, technically it's not your fault, but you're friends with the person that ruined my life. Sooo," he quickly charged at me. I had a little panic moment but remembered I had powers. I quickly teleported behind him and blasted him with those weird energy things. "C'mon Cap. You're losing a fight against a thirteen year old girl," I smirked and shot him with a few more blasts.

I guess my comment made him mad because he quickly placed something on my neck that shocked me and made me fall to the floor being electrocuted. "Hey, Dj. Stay down okay?" He stood next to my body.

The shock in my body stopped but I could barely move so I stayed down.

"Hey. Wait. That's no fair. You are not my friend. You can't call me that and you cheated," I held my hand up signaling him to stop. "You cheat."

He did stop and held a hand to his earpiece. I could hear whoever was talking through it. I turned around and saw a red head holding some injection in her hand. I held up my hand to tell her to wait.

"You can inject me with that in a second," I gestured my hand to shoo her away.

"Hey cap? I was worried for a little bit. Thought you lost a fight against a child," I quickly made my way to Captain America as I recognized the voice on his earpiece. I limped over to him.

"Oh my gosh! Mr. Stark, is that you?" I faked a happy voice. "Just wanted to let you know, thanks for ruining my life, asshole," I then turned to the red head and nodded.

They mostly stood around confused about everything. I could hear small muffles in the earpiece saying, "who the hell was that?"

"Okay. I'm done now. You can inject me," usually I would give up this easily, but whatever shock thing Captain America put on me, made me very weak and my powers were useless. I didn't care what they were going to do to me after, I just wanted to get away from Hydra.

She walked up to me and stuck the needle in my neck. I started getting dizzy and my vision was blurry. Black dots started covering my eyesight until everything went black.
