"I want all the articles down right now"

I sighed listening to Kate yelling voice. It's been two weeks I met Aaron in my home that night. I didn't bother talking to him after that night. I had a fashion week in Paris so I focused on my work and came back today morning.

Someone took the photos of Aaron from that night and made an article on the internet. I thought this issue was dying down but this article brought everything back. Lot of news papers started making it big issue again. They started circulating stupid links of how we are wearing same things and clothes.

Also, how he like all my Instagram posts and he started following me. They are making all the theories and articles are being published every hour about it. It is like I became hot topic of the city. I groaned when I heard other phone ring.

"I tried my best Lyra but they are still not giving up" Kate said worriedly. "They are asking too much for taking down the articles. Even if we did give them the amount there is no guarantee something else will not popup" I nodded my head at her. "I don't care about it. I am not paying PR team for nothing. Tell them to take all of the articles down"

"Ok as you say" she walked away probably to tell them about my order. I looked at my phone when it started ringing. I have been ignoring my family calls since morning. I don't know what to tell them about it. I checked time and saw it is already twelve in the afternoon. I replied to required emails which need to be addressed. "Kate, come to my office"

"You called me" I signaled her to come in. "Schedule a meeting with Mrs. Aubert for tomorrow" I passed her the file. "She is interested in investing in our franchise and wants to open a store in France" Kate squealed at my words. "It will be a big break through for us"

"I know. We have to make sure this article does not impact our work. She is coming to city tonight" Kate note down all the details as I said. "Your mom called me and asked about you" I know they must be worried but I don't know what to tell them. "You should just talk to them. I am sure they will understand the situation"

I decided to listen to her words and went home. I don't know what they will ask me but I thought Kate is right. Front door was open when I went in. I walked in to the living room and met by pair of voices arguing. "I know dad but we can't take them down" Sean and dad were arguing which made me frown. They have their differences before but they never argue with each other.

"Maybe we should talk to Lyra about it. I mean we know Conants. They are not bad people" my mom suggested to dad. "No, we will not force her to do anything" he canceled the idea immediately. "We won't force her either dad. I am already trying to look for other options" I didn't understand what was going on. Before I can listen further Hailey spot me.

"Lyra" everyone stopped talking and looked at me. "Hi" I waved stupidly and walked in. "You came on right time. Let's have lunch together" mom gushed asking the maids to prepare table. I looked at everyone warily but they are all acting as they weren't arguing earlier.

After lunch I called Kate and asked her to check if there is any issue at company. "Hey" Hailey came and sat beside me. "How was the fashion week?" I smiled and told her all the details about the trip. "I have seen the articles" I hummed listening to her. I was hoping she would tell me about the argument earlier. "I just want to say we won't mind if you really love him. We would support your decision"

"You know Sean and I didn't like each other too at first" I know that. Sean and Hailey marriage was a business marriage. My brother is two years older than me while Hailey is five years younger to him. They opposed the marriage idea initially due their age gap and preferences but after few meet ups they agreed and now they are happy with each other.

"It is not like that. I would have told you if I really like him" my family is the most supportive family I have ever seen. They supported all my decisions in life and when I failed in something they were standing behind me with open arms. I think I am luckiest when it comes to family. Not everyone get a family like this.

But I don't like Aaron at all. I don't even know him honestly. I don't know why he is hell bent on marrying me. He has been sending messages frequently and his following me on every social media account. I can't understand his intentions at all.

After Hailey left I checked the latest articles about our company. I am sure dad and Sean are hiding something from me. I read articles and news for about an hour but couldn't find anything. Everything was going great and even stock value also got increased. I got tired from all the reading and decided to take a nap.

I groaned when I felt something poke my side. "Go away" I pushed whatever it is and turned other side to sleep. "Aunt" I gasped when Harper jumped on me. "Wake up"

"Wake up" she chanted jumping on the bed making it bounce. "I am up" I opened my eyes and looked at her. "Yay" she screamed jumping on to me. "Careful champ" I laughed holding her in my arms. "Hape missed you" she couldn't speak her name clearly yet and for she always refers to herself as third person. I don't know why but it has been like this since she can talk. "I missed you too"

"Did you being me chocolate?" her eyes lightened when I nodded. "I kept it in the refrigerator" she jumped down from my arms and ran away probably to get the chocolate. I decided to follow her but stopped when I got a call. "Did you find anything?"

"Yes" I can hear the door closing so I waited patiently for Kate to tell me. "Remember you told me Sean is working on a new project last month" I remember that project. Sean invested lot of funds in that project. If it succeeds our revenue will be increased twenty five percent. "Yes"

"Tyler Hale is convincing the other investors to back out of project" my hands clenched at the mention of that bastard name. He has been trying to sabotage our company for a while now but he never succeeded. "Your company can't manage to do get the investors now and your article is not helping them either"

"Also, one more thing" I asked her to go on. "Mrs. Aubert confirmed the meeting on Friday and she asked you to bring your fiancée too" I groaned making Kate laugh. "She sounded really happy with your engagement" after getting few more updates I disconnected the call.

I know our company might lose this project if it is delayed any further. But without investors it will take lot of time to get new investors. Besides I cannot lose Mrs. Aubert deal either. But that doesn't mean I want to marry a stranger too.

After thinking a while I decided on it. I unlocked my phone and called Aaron. "Hello" I took deep breath. "I agree to this marriage"
