"Good morning" I greeted Aaron as he walked down stairs. I was preparing breakfast for the both of us. It is weekend and last night Aaron stayed up pretty late. I was sure he would have migraine when he wakes up in the morning. "Take it" I passed him Tylenol and glass of water. "Thanks"

"How long did you all stay awake?" I stayed and chatter with them till twelve then decided to call it night. They asked if they can spend some more time with Aaron and I didn't mind. They don't have to ask my permission to hang out with Aaron. "Around three" my eyes widened at his words. "Chris was hell bent on pulling all nighter but Mia and Noah had other plans in the morning. I cleaned up the mess and went to sleep around half past four"

"You should have slept in then" it was only seven thirty in the morning. I am sure normal people don't wake up till eleven or twelve when they have week off. At least I don't wake up till twelve. I used to sleep in whole day when I get weekend but this habit changed since last few years. "I couldn't sleep" I hummed and continued preparing the breakfast. "Do you need help?" I shook my head. "I am almost done"

I placed the food on the dining table and Aaron got Cutlery. I decided to make toast and fruits with our regular coffee. "Why didn't you tell me Christian is your best friend when we went to party?" I thought he is just a business partner but when I spent time yesterday with them I realized they are very close. "I thought you wouldn't be interested to know about me"

"He would have met you on our wedding day. He was supposed to be my best man but he couldn't make it" Christian did say he had to miss our wedding Mrs. Aubert wasn't feeling well. His parents were out of town so he couldn't leave her alone. Though they are close friends Aaron didn't met his aunt Karen. "Christian, Noah and Mia grow up in New York with me. We have been pretty close since high school"

"Were you like popular crowd in high school?" I am sure they should have been total jocks like partying, sports not that I have anything against those people. "Wait, let me guess. You were part of high school football team. You must have been captain or star player of your team" I am not in to labels but spending time with them yesterday felt like that. They have that energy in them. "Am I right?"

"Nope" he kept straight face and looked at me. "Come on. I am sure I can't be wrong on it" he leaned over the table and flicked my forehead. "I was part of basket ball team and no I wasn't popular" I scoffed in disbelief. "How could that be possible" he shrugged his arms. "I preferred to be alone most of the time. I would finish the classes and go home. These three are the only ones who I remember from high school"

I can't believe it.

I mean he is too handsome. I have seen his photos from teenage when I went to his parents house before. He may have not shown interest but I don't believe that people weren't interested in him. "What about you?" I looked at him when he said that. "Let me guess you must be popular girl who didn't care about anyone nonsense like cheerleader or drama club" my lips curved in a smile. "And?" I kept my chin on my hand and looked at him curiously. "If I am right, you must have had at least one boyfriend or broken few hearts"

"So do you?" he asked me when I didn't reply to him. "You think I am a player?" I pretended to be offended. "More like rejecting the boys type" I narrowed my eyes at his words. "You are right on the second part" I tried to brush it off but Aaron wasn't taking hint. "So you dated in high school. What happened then?" I played with my fork as I thought about it. I only had one boyfriend in high school.

Liam Hale

I wasn't part of popular crowd. I was practically nerd who always comes in top two of my class. I focused more on my academics than on boys. It all went out of window when I met Liam in my junior year. "I only had one boyfriend and we broke up" I know Aaron wanted to know the reason. "We just had different opinions as we grow up. So we decided to call it off" I told him the half truth.

"I called Hailey today and she told me you are investing in Sean project" I decided to change the topic before Aaron can ask me anymore questions. "He didn't tell you" I didn't get to talk to him. I was planning on visiting them today. "Is it because of our relation?"

"No, I really liked his idea. I would have invested if you ask me but this time it is only because of his talent. I was planning to work with him before we met"

Good

Sean is really talented and can do anything he put his mind in to. I don't want him to feel that he got the project because of me. "I don't normally take favors when I do business Mrs. Conant" Aaron teased me which made me thought of something from past.

"Can't your dad invest in my brother project? I thought you would convince him to do it"

"You think so highly just because you have some money"

"Hey" I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at Aaron. "You spaced out" I gathered the empty plates and went to kitchen. "Let me do it" Aaron took the plates from me. "Can we visit my parents at dinner today?" I could go alone but I think my family would be happy if Aaron comes with me. "Only if you want to come. There is no manda -"

"I will come" he smiled at me which created a summersault in my stomach. His smile is gorgeous and contagious. "We can go by seven" I hummed looking at him with a stupid smile on my face. "I will inform them about it" I headed to our room to prepare for it. I need to decide on outfit and shoes.

"Lyra, Your phone is ringing" Aaron called me from downstairs. "Coming" I yelled back and took a look over of my appearance in the mirror. I am wearing white flared top with blue denim skirt which reached my knees. I tied my hair in ponytail and applied natural makeup look. I ran to get my phone. "You look pretty" Aaron commented passing me the phone. "Thanks. You look good too"

He was wearing simple white shirt with dark blue jeans. I have always seen him in suits or night wear so this was fresh. I didn't know someone can look this good in simple clothes. I typed message to Kate who called me. She was confirming the schedule for tomorrow so I told her to confirm the meeting.

"Should we get anything on our way?" we decided to take wine and flowers on our way. Aaron stopped on the way and bought them. We were greeted by happy smiles as we reached. Mom and dad were so happy to see us. Dad and Sean seemed too relaxed after they saw how comfortable I am with Aaron. It's only been three weeks we got married but I can be myself in front of him just like my close friends and family.

"Aunt Ly" I scooped Harper in my arms making her squeal. "I missed you so much" I kissed her forehead and she giggled. "Did you brought my chocolate?" I totally forgot about it. "Princess I -" Aaron cut me off and showed her two chocolate bars. "Yay" she took the chocolates and kissed my cheek. "Aren't you going to thank Uncle Aaron?" Hailey reminded her and she kissed his cheek staying in my arms. "Thank you" I wasn't expecting her to lean that quickly which made me almost fall on Aaron.

"You seem to like falling on me" I glared at him and quickly placed Harper on the floor. "You can lean on me as much as you want. I will always be there to hold you" he whispered before following other in to the house. They were so busy with Harper they didn't see our interaction. I know Aaron is growing on me slowly but I am not ready for heartbreak again. I should distance myself from before I can fall deeper in to this.
