Kavya's POV:

"Yes Mom, coming."

Ya, so yesterday I turned 28.
It's been 5 years since we were living in Bengaluru. I work as a Law Director in a Multinational Company.

Shree helped me to settle here. I lived with her for months and then I got a job based on my qualifications and degrees.
Now I love the luxurious apartment which I bought a year ago.
My brother joined the Indian Army and married already. He did court marriage and rarely came to meet us. His wife is such a nice woman. I am happy for him.

And about my feelings, it died the day I left my Maan. I don't know anything about him. I have no intention of any kind of relationship in the future.
I am ready to spend my whole life living with his memories and reminiscing about our moments.
I changed my mobile number and sim, everything. I miss Sid sometimes. He was a great brother to me.

Now my mom is calling me to eat dinner.
"Finally you came. I thought you would take eternity." She glared at me and I chuckled in return.

"Kuku I want to say something that my health is not okay nowadays. If something happens to me, you will be alone forever. I don't want that. I want you to find someone to settle with. Move on from him and he also must have married too." Mom said in a serious tone.

I glared at her,"Nothing gonna happen to you. And I don't want to marry at all nor do I want any kind of relationship. Stop talking like this. You will go nowhere."

She replied with a cheeky smile," You don't even know how to cook maggi too. But that's no worry, you will have a servant for sure. But as a mother I want to see you happy and settled."

I huffed at her and said, "Mom, please I am getting late for the office and I don't want this conversation again."

I hugged her before leaving but never knew that it would be my last hug and conversation with her.

One year later:

For one year I have been lonely, alone or any name one can give.

My mom left this world that day because of a sudden heart stroke.
My brother and sister-in-law came to the funeral. My brother was never attached much to me so after that day he even never called me once.
I have servants to do cooking and all.

Shree is already married and settled in the USA with her husband. I can't disturb her too. She is busy with her personal life. She already did so many things for me.
.
.
At office:

My boss called me, "Listen, Kavya, today our new investors are coming and it will be a super big project and I want you to assist my new partner. You will get to know about his every detail in the evening when our board meeting will be held. You have to present everything you prepared for this meeting. Ok, and I believe you."
I nodded at him and left the cabin.
.
.
My boss is an old man in his late 40s. He treated me like his daughter all the time. Gosh, I have to prepare for the meeting. I don't know why I am feeling nervous today.
They even didn't tell me who is investors or anything. They just told me to present our side point of view.
Let's see what happens.
.
.
In evening:
I am already in my favourite colour dress which is black pants and a white shirt with a black blazer. My full wardrobe is black and white only. I can't get over my tomboyish clothes but I still have to wear a formal outfit for the office every day.

I entered the meeting hall and like always, I walked with the confidence through the meeting room. I was about to introduce myself but then my eyes met someone.

Someone who became a stranger to me 5 years ago.
Someone I didn't expect here.
Someone I loved.
Someone who loved me with all his heart.
And that someone is none other than Mr Abhimaan Singh Sisodiya.

My thoughts got interrupted by my boss. He glared at me indicating to start the meeting.
I started the meeting with all my confidence like that person does not exist here.
.
.
.
After meeting, I sat on his opposite side.
Our eyes met and I recalled everything which happened between us.

But the Maan whom I knew was always used to smile at me and his eyes always used to shine bright with love for me but this Maan is different.

His eyes don't shine like before anymore. He has so much coldness in his eyes. He has become a strong man who is speaking like a king now, with so much authority.
I can understand this as I was the only reason he became like this. He must have moved on from me by now.

My thoughts got interrupted by my boss saying,"Meet Ms. Kavya Rajvansh, our law director and your assisting partner for our combined project."

I looked in Maan eyes and I found nothing other than hate for me in his eyes.
I did a handshake with him and it made me shiver down my spine. He still has effects on me after years.
