Kavya's POV:

I blinked my eyes several times and then realized where I was. I sat up straight on the bed.
Flashbacks of yesterday came flooding in, and I understood that it only takes a moment to change someone's life.
I felt at ease knowing that I have someone whom I love deeply and who loves me back.
.

I saw some clothes in the bathroom and changed into them.
.
.

I walked into the living room and admired the beautiful view. Maan was cooking.

I never knew he could cook

I never knew he could cook. I was enjoying the sight when I heard someone's throat clearing voice and saw Maan looking at me playfully.

I can't believe he's 30 years old. He's more muscular now, and gosh, his height makes me feel so small in comparison.

He came close to me, holding my waist. "Oh, so my future wife is finally awake," he said with a chuckle.

"I never knew you could cook," I replied.

"There are many things you don't know, love," he responded sassily.

"Shameless creature as always." I remembered our first day at college.

* * *

That night:

After breakfast, he went to work, and now we were standing on the balcony in silence.
"The moon is looking beautiful na, Maan." I looked at him.

He replied while looking at my face,"damn beautiful."

I chuckled. His flirting skills are gonna take my life someday.
.
.
.
He broke the silence, saying, "Kuku, we have to leave tomorrow. I have a lot to handle there."

I just stared at him, unsure of what to say. His family might hate me.

"I have a job here. I have my house here. How can I leave?" I said.

He looked at me and said, "You can become the Law Director of my company. I have a house there too. I'm not giving you that position because you're family; you deserve it. I want someone intelligent to handle my corporate deals with a great knowledge of law. We always hire temporary people. We can rent this house out if you want, but I will not leave you alone. If you're worried about my family, they will be immensely happy. My mom will love you like her daughter. Agastya will be your little brother. My dad is no longer with us."

I hugged him tightly, overwhelmed by how much he cared for me and understood what I was thinking.

He broke the hug, cupped my face, and said, "It's getting cold here. Let's sleep. Goodnight, amore."
