Lando's POVI used to hate media days, started to actually like them since I met Gianna.
She made them fun, I was always excited and nervous to talk to her.But she wasn't here this race weekend, so I had no reason to be excited about them.
Took way too long to kiss her, to make a move. Mostly because I liked her a little too much, she made me nervous all the time.
But also because at the end of the day, she was still a journalist.
She could fuck my life up with one article.
I was gonna take that risk.
"Hi Lando" Sophie smiled as she walked up to me. For once, without a microphone in her hand.
She was a journalist from F1Tv.
"Sophie" I nodded, kept walking though. Didn't like her at all.
"Gianna wanted me to give you this" she said, walking after me and holding out a piece of paper.
"What's this?"
I opened the paper, it was a number, probably hers.
I knew she wanted to give it to me for a while, I always wanted to win it fairly but maybe that was stupid after we kissed and cuddled all night.
I was still gonna try to be on the podium to prove that I could do it.
But I also wanted to text her because I missed her.
Her perfect face, that cute smile.
And fuck those kisses. Couldn't get enough of that.
"She told me to give it to you and tell you to text her." She smiled. "Thanks I will" I replied.
Walked away after that though. Like I said, Sophie wasn't my friend at all.
"Hi mate" greeted Jon as I walked in the hospitality. He nodded, smiled and walked after me as I made my way to my driver's room.
Why was everyone following me today?
"Soooo" he nudged me, had an even bigger smile on his face right now. "How did it end in Australia?"
"In the wall, pretty sure you saw that" I answered, put my stuff down and grabbed my team shirt of the shelf.
"Yeah, that's not what I meant" he rolled his eyes. "How did it end with that girl?"
How did he know about that? Thought no one saw us.
"That's none of your business, mate" I mumbled, changing into the teamkit before looking back at him. "But for your information, it was great"
He smiled, even laughed a little. "I am happy for you mate, you look cute together"
"You never saw us together" I laughed.
"I can imagine it"
I laughed at that, because honestly I could imagine it too.
I could imagine us holding hands, walking through the paddock together. Waking up together and making breakfast.
Going on cute dates, maybe even dates with other people.Kiss her in front of Max.
I could imagine it all.
Don't know what she did to me, but I like her so damn much.
I grabbed my phone, put her number in it and immediately texted her.
Yes I was that kind of whipped already.
Gianna 😍
Hi Gianna
It's Lando.
Guess we have each other's numbers now
But I'll still fight for a podium 😉Lando!
Haha
You should always fight for a podiumYeah obviously
How are you?Good
Miss you though!I miss you too
Wish I could kiss you againOh!
That would be nice 😊Right..
Can we ft tonight?
I miss your pretty faceSorry babe
I can't
I have a thing tonightA thing?
Yes a thing
But enjoy your day
Be nice to Sophie!Okay sure
I will text you tonightPut my phone away, honestly didn't really know what to feel about that conversation.
We had so much chemistry between us - but that didn't show over texts.
At all.
She was distant, didn't want to FaceTime me, had a thing to go to but didn't tell me what.
Maybe she was just bad at texting, or maybe she regretted kissing me?
And there it was again, exactly why I waited so long to kiss her.
Because my mind was overthinking already.
