Chapter 7: Rakel Mira

Aith went home and I went back inside our house.

"Has he gone home, Mira?" My mother asked me as I slowly took my seat on the sofa.

"Yep. So what can you say about my Aithnayn?" I grinned.

"He is sooooo handsome! I mean your father is handsome but my future son in law takes the cake." She gushed as she imagines Aith. I don't feel any hate for my mom's praises about Aith. Im actually proud.

"Wait till you see his brother! They look like princes mum." We both screamed in happiness. Im glad my mother knows how to simp good looking guys.

"I give you that.." My sister Belle who always questions my sanity chuckled. "I thought you're just inventing or hallucinating about meeting a guy in a facemask at the park."  She sipped her orange juice. "And he is nice."

"I knoooow right?!" I squealed.

She nodded. "As hard as it pains me to say.. your weird ass hit your jackpot."

"Belle! Im more handsome than him, right?" Our father side-hugged my sister.

"Please don't ask me that. Ask mom."

"I need to prepare for the company outing tomorrow." I stood up and made my way to my room.

"Good night!"

"Night, fam."

Packing everything in my small travel bag is easy.

"Should I bring my bikini? Its a resort afterall." I nodded. I couldn't decide what to bring so I stuffed five pairs of my bikini. "Ohhh-kay. Sunscreen, lotion, perfume, shampoo, bidy soap, lipstick, liptint.."

Still thinking I also put the things on a sepoarate bag and stuffed it in my travelling bag.

Cards, cash, powerbanks, chargers and my gadgets. Tablet and phone..

I need to sleep now. Changed into my pj's I laid on my bed and checked my phone.

One message received: Aithnayn

Im home. I was thinking what to say to you but.. good night I guess.

I happily typed in my reply.

To: Aithnayn

Good night, Aith! I'll send you the address.. well.. i just want to.

Then sent.

I was surprised he replied quickly.

From: Aithnayn

Okay.. if you want to.. I'm going to sleep. Busy day tomorrow.

To: Aithnayn

Goodnight, Aith. Dream of me. 😘

From: Aithnayn

For sure, Rakel Mira. Good night.

After that, I sent the resorts address and then went to sleep. He's right. Busy day tomorrow. For him and for me.

My alarm woke me up. This will be a long day but I know this is nothing. I slowly made my way to my bathroom and prepared. I need to come to the company earlier than usual. Travel time is not that long but I wanna get a good seat on the bus.

I sent a good morning message to Aith and he hasn't replied yet. Maybe he's still sleeping. It's only 5am.

I'm almost done when I see him calling on my phone.

"Good morning, Mira." His cold voice sends shivers down my spine. In a good way.

"'morning, Aithnayn." I answered with a smile.

"I called you when you texted but you never answered. Are you busy?"

"I was getting ready. I thought you were still asleep when I texted."

"Oh, I was at my gym." He answered. "Hmm.."

"I'm just going to finish up then I will call you when I am on my way to work. Daddy will take me." I just feel like saying this.

He chuckled. "I was about to offer to take you to work."

"Oh? But you said you will be busy.."

"It's fine if your father will take you to work. I won't be worried."

"Alright. I'll chat with you later." I picked up my large travel bag and went out of my room, I saw my father sipping his morning coffee with the newspaper for today..

"Ready to go? Eat your breakfast first." He saw me and beckoned me to come to the table.

"I can't dad, I need to check the last minute details of the outing." I sipped a  bit of his coffee and picked my bag again. "Take me to work daddy, please." I pulled his sleeves cutely.

"How can I say no to that pretty face?" My father stood up and took his car key. "Let's go?"

"Thanks daddy!" I followed him to the garage.

Its just a short drive to my workplace so I was there early. I started my day making sure everything is settled at the resort were going.

7am.

Everyone is excited. The front of our company building is buzzing. I am checking if everyone is already present and we went our way.

"Rakel. You'll be riding in my car." Our boss called me. I looked at the bus.

"B-But my things are already inside the bus, sir."

"I insist. Plus you are my executive secretary. You should be with me." He turned around and opened the passenger seat door. Sighing, I ran inside the bus to take my things and followed my boss.

I sat inside the car and pulled my phone. I feel like taking selfies.

I took some and decided to send one to Aith.

Then he immediately called.

"You're in a car? I thought you were riding the bus, Rakel Mira?"

"My boss insisted that I ride in his car. I'm his secretary after all.."

"Okay. Be safe, alright? What time are you departing there?"

"Its almost time to go, actually."

"Alright. Be safe."

I can hear papers ruffling. Working, huh?

"Yes. Bye!"

I was startled to see my boss opening the driver's side door.

"Let's go." My boss sat on the driver's seat and started the car.

"Okay."

I ended the call.

I then pulled my chips and some soda on my travelling bag. Two hours of travel is long so I prepared this.

"You like chips? I brought some too." He smiled at me.

"Y-Yes. I don't want to sleep. I wanna take pictures."

"Alright. Let's go." The bus went first then we followed.

I opened the window to feel the fresh air. We're on the road for an hour and I reached out. It feels cool to be out the nature this early.

I was surprised when a hand reached my hand. In leather gloves. The guy in helmet pulled down the visor.

"Keep your hands inside. It's not safe, Mira. I'll see you soon."

He pulled the visor back and sped away.

I was left dumbfounded.
